    Facilities Manager

    Job Summary

    The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance and optimization of the refinery's physical assets, including production support facilities, administrative buildings, utilities, infrastructure, and company-owned properties. The role ensures that all facilities, equipment, and support services are effectively managed to provide a safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient operating environment. The Facilities Manager is also responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, contractor management, regulatory compliance, property upkeep, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency and organizational objectives. 

    Key Responsibilities (Duties & Responsibilities)

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Oversee facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
    • Manage space allocation and optimize utilization across the facility.
    • Supervise utilities management (electricity, water, gas, waste).
    • Develop and implement effective waste management and recycling programs.
    • Coordinate pest control and landscaping services to maintain facility standards.

    Safety & Security Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans (evacuation, fire safety, first aid).
    • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies within the facility.
    • Oversee installation and maintenance of security systems (CCTV, alarms).
    • Manage access control systems and visitor management processes.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.

    Administrative Responsibilities

    • Prepare and manage facility budgets, including cost control and forecasting.
    • Negotiate and manage vendor/service provider contracts.
    • Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure timely corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate records for maintenance, inspections, and compliance.
    • Communicate facility-related updates to stakeholders (staff, contractors, visitors).

    Sustainability & Energy Management

    • Develop and implement energy optimization strategies.

    • Monitor and reduce waste generation across the facility.

    Strategic Responsibilities

    Other Responsibilities

    • Manage facility-related projects (renovations, upgrades, expansions).

    • Ensure compliance with management systems (QMS, FSSC, OHSAS, EMS, etc.).

    Educational Qualification:

    Professional Qualification:

    • Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) or relevant professional body

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in facility or administrative management
    • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage

    Head, Intelligence

    Job Purpose

    The Head, Intelligence is responsible for leading intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting across Dangote Cement operations in Nigeria and Pan Africa. The role supports proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of security threats to safeguard the company’s assets, operations, and reputation.

    This position drives collaboration with internal stakeholders, including plant operations and Social Performance teams, as well as external partners such as government security agencies, to obtain actionable intelligence and ensure informed decision-making at the highest level of security leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security intelligence across all Dangote Cement locations.
    • Provide daily operational security intelligence reports and updates to the Group Head, Security.
    • Identify, assess, and monitor security threats and risks affecting Dangote Cement operations across Nigeria and Pan Africa.
    • Develop and implement intelligence-led security strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance operational resilience.
    • Collaborate with Plant Security Heads, business unit leaders, and Social Performance teams to align intelligence activities with operational priorities.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government security agencies, including Police, Military, Customs, and intelligence services.
    • Coordinate intelligence-sharing initiatives with relevant stakeholders to enhance situational awareness and response capabilities.
    • Conduct threat assessments for plant locations, critical movements, and strategic operations prior to execution.
    • Analyze data from multiple sources to produce actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor geopolitical, social, and security developments that may impact Dangote Cement operations.
    • Prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to senior leadership.
    • Ensure effective deployment and continuous improvement of security intelligence systems and processes.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage
    • Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS, APP) are an added advantage
    • Military or paramilitary background is desirable
    • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in security role within a government security agency

    Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Infrastructure and Logistics

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Infrastructure & Logistics, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) serves as a senior high-impact strategic support officer, providing expert technical, analytical, and operational assistance directly to the MD. This role combines rigorous analytical capability with sophisticated coordination skills and bridges the gap between the MD's office and the various business units within the Infrastructure & Logistics division as well as external partners (government agencies, contractors, port authorities), ensuring that decisions are evidence-based, projects are on track, and strategic priorities are effectively executed. The Technical Assistant translates complex technical data, insights, reports and strategic intent into actionable plans, coordinates cross-functional workstreams, and ensures the MD is fully informed and equipped to drive the division's overarching objectives.

    Given the Dangote Group's significant investments in maritime infrastructure and logistics, this role requires an individual who can understand technical nuances, prepare high-stakes presentations, manage complex project timelines, and represent the MD professionally. The primary objective is to amplify the MD's effectiveness by handling strategic technical business support, thereby enabling the MD to focus on leading the group’s ports, trade-enabling infrastructure platforms, and regional expansion strategy.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct in-depth technical research, feasibility analysis, and due diligence on infrastructure and logistics projects, presenting findings with clear recommendations to the MD. 
    • Prepare high-quality technical briefs, executive presentations, board papers, and position documents on behalf of the MD for internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Monitor and track the progress of key infrastructure and logistics projects, highlighting risks, delays, and performance variances, and recommending corrective actions. 
    • Liaise with project managers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain status updates and ensure alignment with the MD's strategic directives. 
    • Review engineering and technical reports, contracts, and design documents to ensure they meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements before MD sign-off. 
    • Coordinate and facilitate technical meetings, workshops, and site visits; prepare minutes, action logs, and follow-up reports ensuring timely closure of all action items. 
    • Analyse operational data, KPIs, and financial metrics across infrastructure and logistics assets, identifying trends and presenting insights to support decision-making. 
    • Manage the MD's technical correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate responses to technical queries from government agencies, partners, and business units. 
    • Support the development, review, and implementation of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and governance frameworks for the division. 
    • Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the MD, ensuring deadlines are met and outcomes align with strategic priorities. 
    • Maintain a dynamic database of infrastructure assets, project portfolios, vendor performance records, and regulatory submissions. 
    • Act as a point of contact between the MD's office business units and technical teams, fostering clear communication, accountability, and seamless information flow. 
    • Supports the MD in site visits and regulatory inspections across all terminals/projects. 

    Education and Work Experience -

    • Bachelor's degree (minimum Second Class Upper) in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
    • A Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Engineering Management, Infrastructure, or related field) is strongly preferred.
    • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or FIDIC are an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, engineering, logistics, or project management roles.
    • A good understanding of financial analysis
    • Prior experience supporting senior executives and/or working in the maritime industry is highly desirable

    Security Officer - Depot (Seme Border)

    Job Purpose

    The Security Officer – Depot (Seme Border) is responsible for safeguarding Dangote Cement assets, personnel, and operations within assigned depot and border locations. The role ensures secure movement of goods from loading points to final destinations, while preventing theft, diversion, vandalism, and other security threats.

    The position also supports seamless logistics operations by collaborating with internal teams, government agencies, and external stakeholders, while maintaining effective deployment and monitoring of security systems and providing timely reporting on all security matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the protection of Dangote Cement depots, border facilities, and all company assets, including machinery, trucks, and products, against theft, diversion, and economic sabotage.
    • Monitor logistics and export corridors to prevent disruptions that may impact product distribution.
    • Facilitate safe and uninterrupted movement of Dangote trucks across assigned routes and border points.
    • Collaborate closely with Sales, Plant Operations, and other security personnel to supervise product movement from dispatch to delivery.
    • Maintain regular communication with depot and border security teams to track movement of goods and share intelligence.
    • Develop and implement strategies to prevent product diversion and unauthorized activities within Nigeria and neighboring countries.
    • Liaise with government security agencies (Customs, Police, etc.) to address security risks including theft, vandalism, and adulteration of products.
    • Monitor border activities and promptly report any incidents or threats to the Security Coordinator and relevant stakeholders.
    • Enforce compliance with company security policies for all personnel and vehicles accessing depot facilities.
    • Deploy and maintain security systems to enhance monitoring, control, and reporting accuracy.
    • Prepare and submit timely security reports, incident logs, and intelligence updates.

    Education & Experience

    • Minimum of Diploma in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or related discipline
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an advantage
    • Professional security certification is an added advantage
    • Military or Paramilitary background is desirable
    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in a security role within a government security agency
    • Proven experience working with security stakeholders and business leaders
