    Deputy Financial Controller

    Location: Gboko Plant, Gboko Plant, Nigeria

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the plant’s budgeting and reporting; financial analysis and forecasting; cost and revenue management; and fixed asset accounting.
    • Ensure accuracy of the plant’s financial records and compliance with best practice financial management principles and regulatory requirements
    • Drive the implementation of approved finance policies at the plant.
    • Drive and oversee the budgeting process and ensure input from all business units within the plant comply with stated guidelines and that exceptions are escalated appropriately.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic management reports at the Plant to aid management decision-making.
    • Ensure ongoing review, update, and documentation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial forecasts and ratio analysis.
    • Ensure collaboration/interface with other departments within the plant on financial assessment of projects, business models, and business plans.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with DCP Nigeria’s accounting policies and IFRS.
    • Assume overall responsibility for the integration of business reporting requirements, the integrity of information contained in, and the compliance of the plant’s financial report with relevant reporting regulations.
    • Ensure effective utilization of the plant’s financial resources to achieve cost efficiency.
    • Proactively identify risks and define and implement strategies to prevent revenue leakage.
    • Ensure that organizational policies with respect to accounting for fixed assets are adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure the respective plant complies with all applicable tax laws and statutory requirements.
    • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including local and international tax authorities, tax consultants, etc.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the department’s budget and approve departmental in line with approved authority limits.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership support, and strategic direction in the execution of the department’s functions and activities.
    • Prepare and submit periodic activity/management reports to the Head of Finance on the activities of the department.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent are typically required.
    • Experience in the manufacturing sector, ideally in a senior role or plant Finance manager, is required. Proficient in IFRS, Financial modelling, and ERP systems (SAP), and strong leadership capability.

    CCR Operator

    Job Summary

    Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) to ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.

    Provide relevant information and direction to Patrollers and Operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the Shift Managers.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in implementing DCP’ s approved production plan.
    • Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribed standards and environmental regulations.
    • Log in process data at specified intervals; document and report operational activities accordingly.
    • Ensure smooth operation of the raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to Shift Coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of field work.
    • Inform Patrollers, Attendants and Operators of failures, potential failures or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with Shift Coordinators, Engineers and the Section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes.
    • Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practices.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Coordinator.

    Key Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Chemical Engineering Discipline or other relevant Engineering Discipline.
    •  Trainee CCR Operator: Minimum of one (1) year work experience in Cement or relevant chemical process industry.
    • CCR Operator: Minimum of three (3) years work experience in Cement CCR Operations or other relevant process industry.

    Job Purpose

    The Corporate Sales Relationship Officer is responsible for driving bulk cement sales to corporate clients, including construction companies, contractors, developers, and large projects. The role focuses on revenue growth, client acquisition, and relationship management, ensuring consistent product demand and long-term partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales & Revenue Generation

    • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with corporate clients (contractors, developers, project managers, government projects).
    • Drive bulk cement sales to meet and exceed assigned revenue and volume targets.
    • Actively pursue new business opportunities and expand the client base.
    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.

    Account Management

    Logistics Officer (Corporate Sales)

    Job Purpose

    The Logistics Officer – Corporate Sale is responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting bulk cement dispatch assets both at customers’ sites and during transit. The role will support in ensuring timely product delivery, avoid cement stockout at customers’ site and optimal bulk asset utilisation. ensuring timely product delivery, optimal inventory management at customers’ site and seamless collaboration between sales, plant operations, and customers. The role is critical to customer satisfaction, supply reliability, and operational efficiency in bulk and project-based sales.

    Key Responsibilities

    Logistics Planning & Execution

    • Validate the daily dispatch Plan   for the delivery of cement to customers and project sites, based on data generated from within customer’s geofence and GIT
    • Support the optimization of truck allocation, routing, and delivery timelines to reduce delays and cost.
    • Monitor shipment progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.

    Stakeholder Management Support

    • Provide data required to drive liaison between corporate clients sales team, and l transport units.
    • Provide timely updates on order dispatch status and delivery schedules.
    • Resolve delivery issues, complaints, or service disruptions efficiently.
    • Manage EPOD process and ensure correct reporting for accurate invoicing
