    Deputy Manager, Electrical

    Job Summary

    Overseeing the maintenance of Electrical equipment for optimum performance raises indent for replacement of spare parts and provides maintenance support for shift operations.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning, coordination, and control of efficient maintenance execution of all Electrical Installations and activities
    • Ensure completion of electrical maintenance jobs with the highest level of quality, safety, and effectiveness at minimum cost to maximize equipment availability
    • Ensures smooth running of the unit, and gives regular feedback.
    • Coordinate other section engineers and give support when required.
    • Manage and motivate his team, ensuring coordination and cooperation between the departments.
    • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance practices and contribute to their improvement.
    • Ensures/enforces maximum safety procedure in execution of all jobs.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO Standards

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • BSc/HND (Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
    • Minimum 18 years post experience
    • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

    Export Clearing Officer (Cement Industry)

    Description

    • We are currently seeking to employ a Clearing Officer to manage all import and export processes from pre-shipping, shipping to delivery of the consignment. Function
      • Develop relevant documentation required for shipping/ clearing of materials for DCP
      • Develop and submit all required documents to relevant agencies and maintain/file copies as required.
      • Consult with relevant government agencies and clearance agents to expedite clearance of all materials.
      • Manage DCP’s relationship with relevant regulatory authorities and escalate challenges to Logistics Manager
      • Ensure all claims and notices from regulatory agencies are managed appropriately.
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on logistics activities.
      • Develop periodic customs reports and highlight issues, for the attention of the Logistics Manager.
      • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
      • Implement approved improvement initiatives for the logistics function

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Degree. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in a clearing & Forwarding Company in Nigeria.
    • Proficiency in international documentation, LC, shipping processes, bill of lading.
    • Previous experience working with customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners
    • Must have Operational knowledge of the ports and government agencies.
    • Must have knowledge of clearing and haulage documentation for imports.
    • Must have appropriate knowledge of inspection agents, banks, shipping companies, and terminals.
    • Must have the ability to oversee customs and shipping companies for imports, temporary importation, and exports.
    • Must have knowledge of the customs and excise HS Code and explanatory notes.
    • Meticulous, organized, and able to prioritize tasks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Export Research Officer - Export

    Description

    • Provide support to Manager in managing key operations decision, adherence to shipping activities, safety guidelines and quality requirements etc.
    • Support in scheduling of DCP’s cement export shipments in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Obtain relevant information on planned shipments and update shipping schedule.
    • Coordinate and track finished goods to international destinations documents in line with the DCP procedures with clinker/cement.
    • Complete all documentation related to export in the plant and forward same to Government agent for processing e. Cobalt International.
    • Collate figures and statistics, providing reports for management daily.
    • Must have good understanding of transportation solutions and should always be seeking to improve delivery options to customers.
    • Manage and Processed Nigerian Export Proceed form {NXP} for Export Loading to Various international routes.
    • Analysed each NXP and provide the same loading documents to various units for Loading to commence.
    • Analysed each delivery locations and provide the same information to country Manager.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any related field
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in logistics management

    Skills and Behaviours

    • Knowledgeable on INCOTERMS, laws, and regulations applicable to Freight Forwarding and importation
    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Sound knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing requirements
    • Must have previous Export experience within the Shipping Industry, or able to demonstrate analyst skills in a commercial environment may be sufficient.
    • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Must have extensive import and export documentation knowledge for countries.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in this role,
    • Strong analytical and presentational skills are needed in the role of Export Analyst.
    • Working knowledge of relevant supporting tools and technologies such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
