    Consultant

    This role will deliver project manage and oversee security risk consulting engagements and operations projects across West Africa. The focus of the role will be on delivering and managing complex clients consulting tasks from scoping through project initiation, delivery and conclusion. It will also help drive growth of the other Control Risks services in the region.

    Task and responsibilities

    • The Consultant will be expected to deliver security and risks consulting tasks, with the particular emphasis on appli

    Consulting and operational deliverycation of security management techniques in an African context.

    • Across West Africa the consultant will provide the delivery of:
    • Corporate security and resilience consulting tasks
    • Operational security consulting tasks
    • Operational delivery task including short term embedded roles
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on other embedded consultants or other ongoing projects
    • Conduct executive protection assignments as required
    • Provide operational security support to other consultants delivering tasks in medium/high risk locations
    • Service multiple consultancy assignments concurrently utilising regional resources
    • Act as Engagement Manager and deliver on assignments
    • Support the development of innovative products and services that address client need, and that help maintain the Company at the forefront of the sector

    Business Development

    • Support delivery of competitive business strategies and well-crafted business plans designed to expand the Company’s standing with its Client
    • Consistently develop the Company’s positioning with its clients to enhance business development and secure higher fee-earning engagements
    • Pro-actively seek opportunity to develop projects and business
    • Increase business generated from clients across the practice region
    • Ensure that revenue targets are met and/or exceeded

    Task Delivery

    • Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to the highest standards
    • The role will involve travel to client sites and Control Risks offices (particularly in West Africa)
    • The incumbent may also be required to undertake crisis management related activities and wider crisis and security consulting tasks as directed

    Requirements

    • Educated to degree level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline
    • Project management skills within a commercial/consulting environment
    • Strong commercial focus (financial management skills, legal and contractual skills) and leadership
    • Good client (both internal & external) management and consulting skills
    • Effective decision making & judgment
    • Assertiveness and drive with strong influencing skills
    • People leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive the performance of a team of security and risk professionals
    • Strong interpersonal skills – building trust & rapport
    • Excellent communication skills – written & oral (informal and presentation to board level)

    Preferred

    • Post graduate qualification in a related area, extensive experience in commercial management within the sector
    • Second language (French or Arabic preferable)

    Associate Consultant-CSC

    This is a high-profile role that requires the ability to deliver complex consulting tasks as part of the CRC team in WA.     • Commercially astute when planning and pricing project in terms of time, resource and outcomes
    • Proven experience of effectively managing a consulting team to perform highly and meet / exceed given targets

    HR Coordinator - Africa

    HR Coordinator would be responsible for delivering a consistent and credible HR service to the Africa business as the first point of contact for resolving queries and actioning requests.
    Accountable for providing high quality, accurate HR administration and managing the core processes across the full employee lifecycle demonstrating autonomy and initiative.
    Provides support to other team members across a range of HR matters and projects, taking ownership for delivery where required.

    Task and responsibilities

    Management of the HR Africa/ EMEA team inbox and queries

    •  
    • Act as the first point of contact for all queries, be accountable for and successfully manage the HR Africa/EMEA team inbox on a daily basis through on-going communication, escalation, and prioritisation.
    • Demonstrate customer focus and a commitment to providing a seamless service to the business through responding to all emails/queries in a timely manner and producing high quality, accurate work.
    • A pro-active and professional approach is required as well as remaining flexible to meet varying demands to tight deadlines.


    HR Administration

    • Responsible for delivering core HR processes and providing an accurate and timely HR administration service across the employee lifecycle in line with agreed SLAs. High attention to detail is required and documents and information need to be fit for purpose with limited checking required before issuing.

    These includes but are not limited to:

    • Starters and leavers
    • Immigration cases
    • Employee relations and family related cases
    • Changes to contractual terms
    • Internal or international transfers
    • Promotions

    HR Systems, Records and Data Management

    • Be accountable for maintaining accurate employee data for relevant populations in all core HR Systems ensuring updates are made in a timely manner.
    • Payroll and Benefits
    • Collation of the monthly payroll schedules for the Africa entities, tracking each change and providing supporting documents with accuracy.
    • Administering benefits and ensuring each change is captured in payroll.

    HR Projects and on-going team priorities

    • Own and deliver assigned projects and priorities in line with deadlines as agreed with the HR Director MEA. Provide pro-active support with ad-hoc tasks where necessary. Ensure any issues are flagged to ensure delivery is in line with agreed deadlines.

    Process improvements

    • Demonstrate on-going pro-activity in seeking opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.

    Requirements

    Essential

    • Extensive administrative experience within a Human Resources function
    • Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn
    • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
    • Clear communication skills (spoken and written)

    Preferred

    • Knowledge of Nigerian employment law
    • Knowledge and experience of HR Information Systems

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in relevant discipline.
