    Portfolio Manager (Investments)

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS

    • The Portfolio Manager ensures the coordination of all investment activities across traditional asset classes are geared towards ensuring continuous innovation and profitability. He/she also is also tasked with creating an enabling environment to foster idea generation and innovation as well as improve overall efficiency.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate fundamental investment research and actionable trade ideas that inform portfolio decisions and drive implementation across asset classes
    • Define and document the monthly investment strategy as a key input to portfolio construction and positioning
    • Monitor positioning, performance, and risk exposure on assigned portfolios against benchmarks, and recommend adjustments where warranted.
    • Conduct market intelligence to identify the drivers, sentiment, and dislocations shaping asset prices
    • Identify, assess, and monitor investment opportunities to determine profitable entry and exit points
    • Collate and analyze macro and company data to support quantitative and qualitative research at both the micro and macro level
    • Prepare and present investment strategy and performance reports to the portfolio management team and CIO on a periodic basis
    • Contribute to a collaborative investment process — participating in internal meetings and openly sharing themes, developments, and ideas

    EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • BSc/Degree from a reputable Tertiary Institution.
    • Relevant postgraduate (MSc, MBA) and/or professional qualification (CFA etc) would be an added advantage.
    • Prior experience in managing a portfolio of securities with a proven track record of producing strong risk adjusted returns
    • Strong understanding of market cycles, drivers and characteristics with experience applying this knowledge to portfolio management positioning
    • Ability to work independently but also to delegate and solicits feedback/guidance from superiors
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and to proficiently use and interpret data provided by software tools

    KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of Insurance Industry/Investment Business.
    • Intermediary level for excel database analysis and Bloomberg skills.
    • A proven track record of strong fundamental micro and macro research.
    • Technology Savvy with strong Ms Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
    • Very strong background in the financial markets and asset management business and processes.
    • Strong aptitude in decision-making, time management and problem solving.
    • Understanding of financial market instruments.
    • Strong financial and cash modelling skills.

    Chief Operating Officer – AXA Mansard Health

    JOB OBJECTIVE

    • To Implement strategic leadership operations imperatives for AXA Mansard Health’s business.
    • Involves in all the activities and procedures adopted by the HMO to ensure an effective and efficient oversight of provider-enrollee relationships to achieve optimal satisfaction for both the provider and enrollee and maintain business profitability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The COO is responsible for managing the daily activities of the HMO ensuring that operations, systems and processes are properly coordinated and implemented
    • Ensure that service users and their providers are central to all agendas and that services are effectively provided to meet service users’ needs
    • Develop and maintain rewarding business relationships with key business leaders and lead the formulation of strategic alliances/partnerships with appropriate organizations
    • Co-ordinate and ensure the seamless/ optimal integration of AXA Mansard
    • Health’s operating strategy with its organizational structure and resources

    • Oversee AXA Mansard Health’s risk management policies and practices to ensure business continuity and achievement of key business objectives

    • Liaise with clients, providers, suppliers and regulatory authorities, and ensure that the HMO’s operational procedures, policies, and standards are always adhered to
    • Ensure adequate systems and processes are maintained to measure and monitor the HMO’s effectiveness, efficiency and quality of its healthcare delivery.                                                                      
    • Represents the Company at industry stakeholder meetings, seminars and conferences
    • Ensure that providers on the network are up to the organization’s standards

    Lead, Mid Corporate Propositions & Brokers Engagements

    JOB OBJECTIVE

    • The Proposition Manager will drive the development, refinement, and implementation of market-aligned insurance propositions to support the Commercial Sales diversification and growth strategy. The role will bridge product innovation and sales execution, ensuring propositions are customer-centric, sales-friendly, and aligned with market needs. The role will also co-ordinate Brokers Engagements.

    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align propositions with the company’s growth and diversification strategy.
    • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and sales channels.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5–7 years of experience in product management, sales enablement, or a related role in the insurance industry.
    • Demonstrated success in designing and launching customer-focused insurance products.

    Strong understanding of insurance markets, distribution channels, and customer segments.

    Case Manager

    JOB OBJECTIVE

    • Ensures enrollee’s are managed according to internationally acceptable clinical guidelines while also ensuring cost efficiency
    • Responsible for the facilitation of effective coordination and continuity of care as enrollee transitions across providers and specialists.

    KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

    • Case Management (Admitted enrollees, usually when they are there or discharged recently. It is a care management and control process)
    • Hospital Visitation when indicated
    • Care follow up and counselling when indicated – virtual or physical visit
    • Care approval and follow up for complex and intensive care cases
    • Ensuring care is in line with applicable benefits and following up on approvals and patient care progress.
    • Scheduling patients for major and highly specialized procedures
    • Care review for admitted patients and complex cases requiring secondary and tertiary care
    • Holding clinical meetings monthly to discuss cases and adjust protocols where necessary for better/improved outcomes when required
    • Investigate the root cause of death of an enrollee at a partner hospital
    • Identify quality gaps that may have occurred in the care of the enrollee and provide recommendations to the hospital to prevent a reoccurrence

    EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • MBBS from a reputable tertiary institution.
    • Possession of an MBA, MPH or other of similar equivalence will be an added advantage

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 3 – 5 years total work experience (Clinical experience)
