    Job Instructor

    Job Purpose / Objective

    • To develop and maintain competent operators and supervisors for the continuous safe and professional operation of the plant in an efficient manner to meet the business delivery plan.
    • This position develop operators, including supervisors, superintendents and shift heads through coaching and mentoring in the Assessment and Progression (A&P) skill acquisition and retention process and maintains the competencies of senior operations personnel through scheduled refresher schemes.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Develop, maintain and implement a comprehensive operations technical competence and development and assurance curriculum across the entire hierarchy of operations department based on the A&P scheme to ensure that operations staff can be progressed based on learnt and experience- based competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.
    • implement a refresher program based on the A&P scheme and on contemporary developments and lessons learnt in the plant and in industry, to refresh and maintain the professional competencies of senior operations personnel including shift operations leadership.
    • Supervise competency-based progression through the Assessment and Progression (A & P) Schemes l&2 for Operators/Supervisors to ensure clear understanding of the daily routine/non- routine operation of the plant to meet minimum staff competence required to operate the plant.
    • Develop and train all plant Operators/Supervisors to become competent in Gas testing as Authorized Gas Safety Tester (AGST) and to be proficient in the process equipment preparation under the permit to work system.
    • Develop and coordinate computer-based training and tool box presentations as part of the management of change (MOC) process, learning from incidents (LFI), and any other improvement initiatives on plant assets for all Operators to meet the situation awareness philosophy.
    • Perform Competence Assurance testing on panel and Field Supervisors / Operators on the use of monitoring and control tools to adequately respond to process upsets and emergencies in order to avoid production losses.
    • Develop and implement specific training packages (ESP, AMS) for all POx teams in line with Operation’s Reliability tools and proactive monitoring techniques in the field and panel to mitigate errors due to human factors on the plant Operation.
    • Review and assess performance of the A&P Schemes to fully encompass technical and operational changes from LFI, MOC against Competency Framework Profiles.

    Job Requirements
    Education:

    • HND or University degree in Engineering / Science discipline
    • A1 Assessor Certification

    Experience:

    • 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry with at least 7 years’ experience in LNG plant operations at a Senior level.

    Supervisor - Shutdown / Start-Up

    Job Purpose / Objective

    • To prepare detailed Start-up and Shutdown Packages, Procedures and execute the plans safely as directed by the Operations Senior Shutdown Supervisor.
    • Lead shutdown/startup activities in conjunction with Operations Area Supervisor.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Assist in developing the short and long-term Integrated Shut Down Plan (ISDP) following the TAR (Turnaround Readiness and Assurance) process and ensure that all operational activities are fully taken account of, resourced and integrated into the Shutdown Premises and plan.
    • Lead work fronts during the execution of planned or emergent turn-around and ensure that HSE considerations are included in daily instructions within assigned areas to prevent HSE incidents.
    • Assists the shift in the coordination and implementation of the daily operational and maintenance requirements for assigned areas during turn-arounds to ensure effective and efficient execution of the Turn-around
    • Participate in After Action Reviews (AAR) post shutdowns and ensure the Lessons learnt or lessons from incidents (LFIs) are properly disseminated and embedded in operations processes.
    • Carry out the development of the Start Up and Shutdown plans and their execution as operations shutdown supervisor to ensure a flawless start-up after every shutdown.
    • Develop and maintain operations procedures and standards for assigned areas to close the any gap in procedures and work standards.
    • Assist in the development of operational improvements and increased plant availability and capacity to reduce plant fuel operating costs and improve revenue.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring for all field and panel operators on shut down duties to achieve improvement in shut down and start up performance.
    • Assist the Senior Shut Down Supervisor to produce reports on shutdowns /start-ups in order to capture opportunity for improving / learning from incidents.
    • Review Shutdown job hazard analysis and permit to work at a senior level as Authorized Gas Safety Inspector (AGSI). Apply required discipline to provide assurance of high quality of input to the PTW process and to ensure full compliance by both permit issuers and permit holders.

    Qualification
    Education:

    • HND or University Degree in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering / Science discipline.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years working experience in Oil and Gas industry with at least in 7 years’ experience in required function or similar job at a Senior level in LNG Plant Operations.
