Job Summary:

• The Dispatch Rider is responsible for the timely, safe, and efficient pickup and delivery of parcels, documents, and other items to customers. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and service delivery standards to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver parcels to customers within assigned routes and timelines.
• Verify delivery details, obtain necessary signatures, and update delivery status in the system.
• Ensure parcels are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payments (where applicable), and route logs.
• Collect payments for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) shipments when required and remit appropriately.
• Conduct daily checks on assigned motorcycle (fuel level, brakes, tyres, lights, etc.).
• Report accidents, breakdowns, or delays promptly to the supervisor.
• Comply with road safety regulations and company safety standards at all times.
• Maintain professional conduct and provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE / High School Certificate.
• Valid Rider’s Permit and driver’s license.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as a dispatch rider (preferably in a logistics company).
• Good knowledge of local routes and road networks.
• Ability to use delivery apps or handheld devices.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.
• Strong integrity and accountability (especially when handling payments).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end import and export operations, including air, sea, and land shipments
• Prepare, review, and process shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations
• Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers
• Track shipments and provide status updates to customers and internal teams
• Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, and documentation discrepancies
• Calculate duties, taxes, and logistics costs accurately
• Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions
• Liaise with customs authorities for clearance and inspections
• Support audits and internal compliance checks
