    Partnership Fellow

    In this role, you will work with the Executive Director in managing the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals for the foundation. You will also be actively involved in stakeholder communication and management of all VPF Partners and Donors.

    Jobs to be done

    Grant research & writing

    • Identify new donors & corporations to solicit for funding

    • Work with the Executive Director to develop concepts for grant proposals

    • writes proposals and secure funding from corporates and donors

    • Lead the implementation of strategies that will grow annual revenue,

    Donor Communication Responsibilities

    • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects. Builds and sustains relationships with current, new and potential grant-giving organizations and individuals
    • Develop and write content for major donor communication pieces; coordinate the in-house production of pieces
    • Write direct mail pieces for major and mid-level donors, as well as other special appeals; work with the Partnership Manager to coordinate production of pieces

    • Develop print and online content for annual luncheon, gala and other special events for stakeholders.

    • Annually update/write templates for “thank you” letters for annual donors, new donors, associates, and special letters; revise as needed

    • Gather information and write content for annual and mid-year reports

    The Fellowship program will run for a dedicated period of 6months during which participants will be actively involved in executing real-life projects at the Foundation, access career coaching in the form of mentorship and scorecard evaluations, and access learning opportunities. Participants will be expected to work full time through the duration of the internship and will be bound by the policies and procedures of the Foundation.

    Programs Fellow

    You will play a key role in supporting the Programs Director by ensuring that the desired goals and outcomes of the Directorate are met. You would take ownership for the administrative support programs, you will ensure the program design, delivery and documentation is done efficiently, effectively and is adaptive to changing circumstances. You have experience working in a fast-paced environment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administration

    • Carry out administrative activities for the Programs team, including program schedules, vendor management, time and resource management and allocation and daily adhoc responsibilities.

    • Support the program manager to manage and service relationship with mentors and other stakeholders.

    • Maintain a standard operating procedure document and data bank for collecting and collating different kinds of data that could improve program planning. Ensure that the documents saved on the teams google drive folder is always updated and appropriately saved in right folders

    • Schedule and organize meeting and travel arrangements. Handle the requisition and retirement of program expenses.

    • Provide administrative support for the programs team, Mentors, (which may include matters of strict confidentiality).

    • Maintaining a tracking system for major scheduled events and activities. Support the program manager to manage the program calendar.

    • Provide cover and support for other members of the team where necessary.

    Program Design & Management- You will support the Programs Director in the discharge of the following responsibilities;

    • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.

    • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

    • Lead the design, and proper execution of all VP Programs

    • Design and executes project work plans to meet the goals and objective of the programs.

    • Ensure quality of VP programs through appropriate Identification and allocation of resources

    • Lead technical improvements in program design and development to ensure quality and adherence to program standards.

    Budget Control- You will assist the Programs Director in;

    • Developing a budget and operating plan for VP programs.

    • Effectively monitor and manage program budgets

    Quality Program Delivery- You will actively participate in

    • Executing every project with the highest quality and attention to detail

    • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.

    • Championing standardized frameworks and templates for efficient and effective delivery of programs

    Stakeholder Management & Communication- You will collaborate with the Programs Director in

    • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.

    • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

    • Prepare quality and timely programs narrative and financial reports as needed

    • Analyzing program risks.

    Office of the ED

    This role provides strategic technical and administrative support to the ED with an emphasis on research, feasibility assessment, project management, operational review, analysis, and technical documentation.

    Jobs to be done

    • Carry out all research, feasibility assessment and analysis as required by the office of the Executive Director

    • Create technical documentation - including, presentation and proposals as and when required

    • Review technical documents forwarded to the office of the Executive Director and recommend actions points

    • Provide business support services as and when required by the office of the ED

    • Review documents on behalf of the ED, make updates and corrections with a clear understanding of the ED’s perspective.

    • Acts as an expediter for the ED with other internal and external stakeholders

    • Acts as an expediter for all internal and external stakeholders with the ED

    • Provides input to technical studies/research projects, technical reports, project planning, etc.

    • Produces accurate statistics, relevant figures and data for decision making

    • Gathers information, elicits requirements and monitors all relevant media trends, topics and channels providing necessary strategic information to the ED

    • Supports Executive Director with project management, project oversight, status management, task management and support duties

    • Advice the ED to enable him takes vital decisions on technical and non-technical matters.\

    • Liaises with external stakeholders on behalf of the ED

    • Schedules and attends meetings (with and on behalf of) and takes minutes with a clear focus on objectives, next steps and progress tracking.

    • Follows up on all tasks and projects that report to the office of the ED and the ED.

    • Liaises with all Directorates on-behalf of the ED.

    • Maintains a birds-eye view of all on-going projects and activities and provides support to the ED for effective management of same.

    • Prepares daily, weekly, quarterly and annual technical reports.

    • Provide customer relationship management support and assists the ED on managing all high-level customer and stakeholder relationships.

    • Receives Internal Memorandum sent to the office of the ED and handle, follow-up, reply and file accordingly.

    • Represent the company with clients, contractors and vendor partners

    • Makes enquiries to provide the ED with in-depth understating for decision-making and follows through on all assigned tasks.

    • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to assist ED in decision-making.
