    Petrophysicist (PP)

     Candidate will plan well data acquisition programs and carry out post-acquisition interpretation provide strong support for the identification of reperforation opportunities and champion the maintenance of an efficient technical database management system.

    Responsibilities

    The duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows:

    • Plan well data acquisition programs in line with well and business objectives;
    • Liaise and work with other technical discipline such as reservoir engineers, production geologist, production technologist, well engineer, reservoir geoscientist, etc to promote integration within the organization.
    • Liaison with core, log and LWD data acquisition contractors, before and during acquisition and in post-well interpretation phase;
    • Coordinate appropriate well-site witness work for specialist runs;
    • Deliver post-well standard interpretation;
    • Liaise with partners and DPR on petrophysical / core issues;
    • Aid the integrated full field reservoir description models which take full account of log, core and seismic data as well as dynamic pressure and water movement data;
    • Manage core and fluid analysis programs at base offices and contractor labs
    • Populate and maintain corporate and project well databases;
    • Be part of the team well planning effort;
    • Become involved in surveillance petrophysics on project startup;
    • Provide leadership in health, safety, security and environment (HSSE); this is an important and key requirement and focus for the individual;

    Experience & Qualifications

    To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences or related discipline (M.Sc is an added advantage)
    • Minimum of 15 years relevant post-graduate industry related experience
    • Ability to promote open and effective communication;
    • Propensity for undertaking tasks before being asked to or forced by events;
    • Ability to coach others to help their development;
    • Ability to work as part of a team;
    • Ability to facilitate and leverage knowledge transfer within and between the exploration, development and production business units;
    • Ability to integrate a variety of data and information into an exceptional interpretation of the subsurface.

    Production Technologist

     Candidate will provide very strong support for the identification of production improvement opportunities and production optimization studies in conjunction with the reservoir engineer, petrophysicist and production geologist in the asset team.

     Principal Accountabilities:

    • Work in an integrated study team where you can learn from others and equally contribute with your own background and experience. Make PT input into field development plan. The required technical work will comprise but will not be limited to well performance modelling, sand prediction, sand control selection and upper completion design, perforating and smart well design.
    • Ensure compliance with well, reservoir and facility management, well integrity, voidage and flare control guidelines and taking appropriate actions in assigned field/s.
    • Identification of short term oil opportunities for ranking in the business planning processes and the maturation of short term oil opportunities within the asset team.
    • Ensure flow assurance for the project life cycle. Incorporate mitigation strategies into production optimization plans.
    • Provide conceptual completion design for the most economic production throughout the life cycle of the well, i.e. performance modelling, tubing sizing, artificial lift design, drainage conduits, selection of completion accessories (e.g. SMART equipment, no of packers), material specification etc.
    • Identify candidate wells, which have near-wellbore or wellbore damage for stimulations (e.g. acid or waves stimulations) and design suitable treatment. Identify water or gas shut-off candidates wells and design treatments (mechanical and chemical treatments). Identify wells that require additional and/or re-perforations, due to high mechanical skin and design operations.
    • Identify wells that are not optimized and initiate actions/well interventions to change the operating conditions. Identify wells that are not performing and review options to improve inflow performance.
    • Generate a well/reservoir surveillance plan, in conjunction with other disciplines, obtain key data and incorporate it into asset surveillance plan.
    • Identify candidates for BHPs, RSTs & related cased hole logs and design the operation.
    • Generate an activity proposal for any surveillance operations, which contains the economic justification, functional design and outline.

    Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

    • A minimum of B.Sc in Engineering or Sciences (M.Sc is an added advantage)
    • At least 15 years relevant oil and gas industry experience in an operational and studies environment
    • Experience with operating company and services/consulting sector
    • Strong team worker but also an independent thinker
    • Good communicator with strong presentation and report writing skills (these are a must!)
    • Project management and team leadership skills/experience

    Reservoir Engineer

     Candidate will provide very strong support to reservoir engineering activities within the organization, especially well testing and analysis and field development plans for new fields and redevelopment plans for matured fields working closely with other engineers, petrophysicist, production technologist, facilities engineers and production geologist in the asset development team.

    • Design various reservoir field and identify appropriate tools to resolve all reservoir engineering issues and develop support package for new wells.
    • Establish all developed and undeveloped reserves and maintain an efficient reserve system and evaluate all completion and drilling activities and for various projects and coordinate with various teams for project development according to production guidelines.
    • Monitor and analyze all surveillance programs for all reservoir performance and develop an efficient management strategy and participate in various activities to enable growth and collaborate with geoscientists and design development activities.
    • Manage all work through reservoir analysis techniques and forecast prioritization of all development projects and recommend improvement to production and assist to recomplete all projects if required and provide technical support to all reservoir management activities.
    • Analyze all test data and ensure accuracy of same and assist to design all reservoir models and collaborate with various team members to manage all communication for projects and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
    • Provide support to management and manage all development and production projects and plan all area reserve and estimate all production requirements and analyze all studies and ensure optimization of all resources.
    • Develop field plans for water injection and recommend improvements to same and perform analysis on all tests through standard applications and monitor all field and well performance.
    • Participate in all reserve audits and prepare required documents and prepare technical presentations to be submitted to management.

    Qualifications/Experience Requirements

    • A university degree in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering (M.Sc is an added advantage)
    • Minimum 15 years relevant working experience
    • Proficiency in reservoir simulation and evaluation, reserve estimates and reporting
    • Knowledge of well planning work flows
    • Ability to proactively work within a multidisciplinary subsurface team, support and cooperate with other departments including drilling, geology & geophysics, and production, and commercial
