    Specialist, Network Permits

    Job Description

    • IHS Towers are currently recruiting for a Specialist, Network Permits.
    • In this role, you will research and provide updates on regulatory developments (including new policies and laws) as they affect the company's operations.
    • You will also follow up with regulatory authorities on submissions and other relevant issues.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Provide legal and regulatory opinion on government legislation and regulatory policies.
    • Prepare correspondence and position papers on regulatory and environmental issues.
    • Maintain detailed records of environmental audit reports and environmental impact assessments. Ensure quality assurance of reports for appropriate regulatory agencies.
    • Process statutory and consultancy fees for environmental permits and approvals for regulatory agencies/ consultants, thus ensuring timely payments for all environmental permits, e.g. renewals, contraventions, and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/ Environmental Audit (EA) procurement.
    • Engage regulatory and governmental agencies on assigned issues and deliver on assigned tasks on time.
    • Engage regulatory agencies on requests for environmental permits to mitigate against financial sanctions and penalties, thus ensuring effective cost reduction for environmental levies and demands that may impact income and Opex savings.
    • Attend internal and external meetings and prepare reports summing participants’ views.
    • Make presentations to regulatory and governmental authorities on matters that affect the company.
    • Prepare regulatory trackers of assigned issues and follow through with timely updates and resolutions as required.
    • Proactively work to prevent litigation.
    • Receive EIA and EA Certificate from the Federal Ministry of Environment (FME) and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) through the EIA consultant and update the company’s environmental permits database.
    • Follow up with environmental consultants to ensure acceleration of certification process for environmental permits and approvals.
    • Communicate final list of sites obtained from the Rollout/ Deployment team to the EIA consultant for registration. Follow up with the EIA consultants throughout the EIA process and liaise with the FME as required throughout stages of the EIA process.
    • Collaborate with relevant functional areas – including Operations, Rollout/ Deployment, Finance, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – on site verification, panel review, and Impact Mitigation Monitoring (IMM) stages of the EIA process.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Specialist, Network Permits.

    Experience & Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Law.
    • +5 years’ post-NYSC work experience in a telecoms environment or reputable law firm.
    • Demonstrable drafting skills and ability to prepare legal opinions and research papers within tight deadlines.

    Senior Manager, Business Planning & Intelligence

    Job Description

    • IHS Towers are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Business Planning & Intelligence.
    • In this role, you will develop and manage the company's business plan; optimize portfolios to maximize profitability; and recommend new processes and initiatives that enable the business improve underlying profit.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Develop long-term business plan and oversee execution of financial strategy to achieve plan over time.
    • Work closely with multiple departments to identify, analyze, and recommend various revenue-generating and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Lead preparation of business cases and other analyses to support decision-making.
    • Administer local M&A activities
    • Lead the Capex Committee process for approving large investment projects
    • Provide inputs from time to time in preparation of all internal management reporting to the Executive Management Team and Board of Directors.
    • Drive optimization of the company’s overall site portfolio.
    • Develop various investment allocations and justifications to maximize returns.
    • Provide inputs in preparation of the company’s strategic plan by analyzing trends and forecasts of major variables that significantly impact Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics such as competitor analysis, market share, demographic trends, and growth projections.
    • Identify business problems and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of business direction and needs during ongoing engagement with key internal stakeholders and develop solutions, roadmaps, and assessments of potential business impacts.
    • Coordinate development of the annual market intelligence report.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual cash forecasts.
    • Develop financial models to assist business planning and value transactions.
    • Execute fundamental and corporate financial analyses.
    • Coordinate the Market Research team to prepare the monthly research report.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

    Experience & Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor's in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, and other relevant Math-related fields.
    • CFA certification or MBA is a plus.
    • +8 years’ cognate experience.
