    Security Operative

    JOB ROLE

    • The School Security Operative is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors in a school setting. The primary role is to prevent and respond to incidents that may disrupt the educational environment, such as theft, violence, or vandalism.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the school building  with the use of metal detectors, ID scanners, or security cameras to ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed on the premises.
    • Responsible for ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors from emergencies such as a fire, natural disaster and violent incident.
    • Coordinate with local emergency res-ponders, evacuate the building, or provide first aid to those in need.
    • To patrol the school campus to detect and prevent criminal activity.
    • This can be done by walking the halls, check exterior doors and windows, and monitor security cameras to identify potential threats.
    • Responsible for maintaining order and discipline in the school environment.
    • To enforce school policies, such as dress codes and student conduct codes, and intervene in conflicts between students or staff.
    • To work closely with school administrators to identify potential security threats and implement strategies to improve school safety.
    • To provide regular reports on security incidents or conduct training sessions for staff and students.

    Cook

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare and cook meals for students and staff, following recipes and menus provided by the school
    • Ensure that meals are nutritious, appetizing, and visually appealing
    • Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards to ensure food safety
    • Order and receive supplies, and maintain an inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
    • Clean and maintain kitchen utensils and equipment, including plates,spoons ovens, stove tops, and refrigerators
    • Work with the school policy to accommodate special dietary needs and food allergies
    • Collaborate with other school staff to promote healthy eating habits and nutrition education
    • Follow budgetary guidelines set by the school and manage food costs
    • Assist with menu planning and development

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of SSCE certificate or equivalent
    • Prior experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen setting
    • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation practices
    • Ability to follow recipes and menus, and adjust recipes to accommodate large quantities
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and fast-paced environment

    Driver

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Safely and efficiently transport students to and from school, following designated routes and schedules.
    • Ensure that the school bus is in good working condition before each trip, performing routine maintenance as needed and reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate authority.
    • Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, enforcing rules and discipline when necessary and ensuring that all students are seated and wearing their seat belts or other safety equipment as required.
    • Develop a positive and supportive relationship with students, parents, and school staff, responding to questions or concerns and acting as a role model for safe and responsible behavior.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, keeping up-to-date on safety regulations, driving techniques, and other related topics.
    • Maintain accurate records of bus routes, schedules, and student ridership, as well as incident reports and other documentation as required.
    • Knowledge of vehicle parts, functionality and the ability to fix minor fault
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of SSCE certificate or its equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Demonstrated experience in driving a school bus or similar vehicle.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with students, parents, and school staff.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to school bus transportation.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of the traffic rules, road signs and defensive driving
    • Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening, as required by state law or school policy.

    Nanny

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensuring clean and tidy home environment all times.
    • Bottle-feeding infants and changing diapers when required.
    • Entertaining infants, keeping them warm, happy and clean at all times, and playing with them.
    • Responsible for giving children lunch and in-between snacks,and supervising them during play.
    • Responsible for the supervision of children and ensure their safety during school hours.
    • Responsible for keeping a watchful eye on the children and be attentive to their needs.
    • Responsible for ensuring that children maintain good health and hygiene practices.
    • They may help children wash their hands, take care of their personal hygiene, or administer medication as required
    • Running errands as required.

    REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATION

    • A minimum of SSCE or suitable equivalent.
    • 3+ years child care experience, including infant care.
    • Proficient knowledge of home safety and first aid.
    • Proficient knowledge of housekeeping and meal preparation.
    • Outstanding verbal communication skills.
    • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Affinity for children and pets.
    • Good moral character and pleasant disposition.
    • Physically fit, energetic, agile and dexterous.

    Cleaner

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Clean and maintain all areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces
    • Empty waste and recycling bins and dispose of trash and recycling appropriately
    • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
    • Restock restrooms with necessary supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
    • Clean and maintain floors, including stripping, waxing, and buffing as necessary
    • Keep all cleaning equipment and supplies organized and in good working condition
    • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate staff member
    • Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment
    • Assist with set up and cleanup for school events as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of SSCE certificate
    • Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties Vacuuming  Dusting  Mopping Scrubbing
    • Buffing Disposing of waste  Replenishing consumables
    • Willingness to clean any area of the school as requested by the supervisor.
    • Willingness to take personal responsibility for standard of work carried out.
    • Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities offered by the school, to further knowledge
    • Willingness to maintain confidentiality on all school matters
    • Will need to be able to manage some heavy lifting
    • Ability to work in an organized and methodical manner
    • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise
