    IT Sales Executive

    Job Competency Requirement

    • Ability to identify and develop new business through networking and prospecting techniques. Engage in cold-calling to create interest in company products and services, generate new business leads and arrange customer meetings.
    • Ability to design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence. Understand customers’ business needs and challenges and position the relevant solutions that address those needs.
    • Ability to persuade potential buyers that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and service delivery while managing customer objections.
    • Ability to develop pipeline by using the company’s sales methodology and processes and manage sales opportunities throughout the sales cycle in the shortest of time
    • Ability to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly target individual sales targets while contributing to overall team targets as set by management. Meet KPIs related to selling efforts and customer calls or visits.
    • Ability to Maintain strategic partnerships with technology vendors and distributors and strategic relationships with existing customers and upsell/cross-sell by promoting product upgrades, additional complementary technologies or solutions.
    • Ability to respond to tender documents and write proposals as well as any supporting documentation.
    • Ability to support marketing activities by attending company events and trade shows. Attend and contribute to team meetings and report progress towards achieving account or go-to-market strategies with management and peers.

    Qualification Requirements

    • BSc. in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Information Systems (or equivalent)) or equivalent field experience with 3 years of sales or pre-sales experience preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a prevalent professional demeanour excellent presentation skills.
    • Knowledge of IT hardware and software solutions is required.

    Job Description

    • Ability to research and identify new sales leads and market opportunities.
    • Ability to prepare and deliver pitches to potential products and oversee the sales process to attract new clients.
    • Ability to create, monitor and analyze marketing data, sales interventions/strategy, and achieve sales activity goals such as locating, developing, negotiating and closing business to meet sales target.
    • Ability to build and maintain key customer relationships with clients and address their needs effectively
    • Ability to define long-term organizational goals and work with team members to identify and manage risks.
    • Ability to improve the organization’s market position, achieve financial growth and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

    Requirements:

    • B.Sc/HND in marketing or communications related field with certification in sales/marketing. Minimum of 7 years’ proven post qualification/experience as a business developer in the manufacturing sector.
