    Manager, Refractories (Refractory In-Charge)

    Process Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Manage and supervise the effective execution of all production activities during respective shift to ensure seamless and efficient operations within the Production department.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participate in the execution of DCP’s production plan.
    • Ensure all production equipments are operated in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
    • Monitor control process units from clinker silo extraction to cement silo filling in the Plant at every point in time.
    • Ensure raw materials – clay, laterite and limestone - for cement production are properly crushed to achieve preset quality targets.
    • Supervise emplyees to ensure all conveyor belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming.
    • Ensure machine operators wear appropriate safety gears during operations.
    • Coordinate all production staff during respective shift to ensure uninterrupted activities at the plant.
    • Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift.
    • Prepare detailed shift reports for the attention of the Section Head, Crushing Operations.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Section Head, Crushing Operations.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in a technical discipline.
    • Three (3) years relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Working knowledge of the cement production process
    • Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control
    • Good knowledge of crushing operations, equipments and their functions
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills

    Mechanical Technician

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • Trade Test I in Mechanical related Trade with 8 years relevant work experience.
    • OND Mechanical Engineering.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Basic knowledge of cement production process
    • In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Ability to pay attention to details

    Section Head, Maintenance - Power Plant

    Job Summary

    • Plan, schedule and supervise the predictive, preventative, corrective and overhaul maintenance of all power plant electric generating, steam producing, material handling, rolling stock and associated plant equipment to assure the plant is operated in a reliable, safe environmentally compliant and efficient manner.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Schedule and manage preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with equipment and systems requirements and as indicated by equipment and system performance, maintenance records, safety requirements and best practices.
    • Constantly review and improve maintenance processes and ensure that maintenance personnel are properly trained and adhere to established procedures and standards in accordance with prudent industry practice.
    • Manage and ensure uniform application and technical correctness of a comprehensive maintenance program, including forecasting manpower workload and equipment needs for short term and long term needs.
    • Continually evaluate, schedule and budget the maintenance program and recommends changes to optimise maintenance cost effectiveness, work quality, outage time and availability.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Power Plant from time to time.

    Key Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of nine (9) years relevant work experience

    Skills and Competencies:

    • In-depth understanding of power plant operations, with strong understanding of the maintenance function.
    • Good understanding of steam turbine technology, mechanics, hydraulics, electricity and electronics.
    • Working knowledge of operations and engineering functions and their interrelation to maintenance.
    • Strong knowledge of plant engineering and plant maintenance functions and how they relate to operations and income.
    • Very good oral and written communication skill.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
