QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• First degree in Mass Communication or its equivalent. Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in similar position.
• In-depth knowledge of current affairs and socials issues.
• Exposure to and understanding of international content formats.
• Working knowledge of Nigerian Media Laws.
• Demonstrable experience in production activities.
• Problem solving skills with attention to details.
• Organizational & Time Management skills.
• Team spirit and an outgoing personality.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in conjunction with the technical director, associate producer and the graphics editor to create the content for the show.
• Ensure contents are developed using Specific programme methodology and psychology.
• Collaborate with the presenter, technical director and floor manager in daily pre-production meetings for the show to craft content for specific programmes.
• Direct the flow of the show in studio by talking constantly to the presenter to guide them through improvisation, using the strategy and psychology of the show to facilitate viewership.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with writers, producers, and crew members to develop and execute the creative vision for each program.
• Direct technical crew during live broadcasts, managing camera angles, lighting, sound, and other production elements.
• Communicate with on-air talent and coach their performances, including delivery, timing, and blocking.
• Collaborate with control room team to ensure flawless execution of all technical aspects, including live switching, audio mixing, and graphics.
• Plan and organize live or recorded TV program production in a studio setting.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by enforcing safety protocols

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• First degree in film, television production, or a related field.
• Minimum of Five (5) years experience in TV production and directing.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Deep understanding of the technical aspects of television production are also essential.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
