    Senior Back End Developer (.net Core / Azure)

    Description

    • We are seeking for a full-time Senior Microsoft-stack developer to join our small but expanding team.
    • You’ll be working with C#, ASP.NET or WebAPI, Entity Framework and Azure. You’ll be focusing primarily on Azure-based applications built using MVC and WebAPI.
    • You’ll be working alongside our dedicated front-end (web) and mobile development teams, so experience with web technologies (CSS / HTML) and apps (Xamarin / XAML / WPF / UWP) is a bonus but not required.
    • You’ll mainly work in a project team consisting of a product manager, QA lead, UI / UX designer and delivery manager, under the guidance of a technical architect and product director.
    • This is a permanent role and we’re looking for someone who’s happy working UK office hours.

    Tasks and Responsibilites

    • Working on a variety of client projects across different industries and sectors.
    • Writing clean, testable, maintainable code.
    • Writing unit and integration tests.
    • Using pull requests to give and receive constructive feedback.
    • Working with a product manager to agree the scope and detail of user stories.
    • Planning and estimating tasks for implementation.
    • Setting up and maintaining Azure environments for production and development systems.
    • Working with DevOps and CI/CD tools to build, release and monitor applications
    • Understanding and addressing performance concerns including SQL Databases.
    • Developing reporting and analytics models and solutions.
    • Staying up to date with security best practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
    • Using and contributing to Steer73’s developer playbook to share knowledge.
    • Iterating on Steer73’s tools, processes and resources to drive continuous improvement.
    • Responding to customer incidents and resolving service-affecting issues.

    Senior Front-End Developer (ASP.NET Core MVC)

    Description

    • Steer73 is growing our web development team. We mainly use ASP.NET (.NET 5) and Angular, and love building high quality, modern apps for a range of exciting clients. We are looking for a full-time senior web developer focusing on ASP.NET Core MVC to join our small but expanding team.
    • This is a permanent, fully remote role and we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working UK office hours.

    Our tech:

    • ASP.NET MVC apps (.NET 5 and .NET Core)
    • Blazor Server and Blazor WASM are a plus but not essential
    • CSS/SCSS (we mainly craft our own, but do occasionally use frameworks)
    • Our UI/UX designers use Figma
    • Task runners (Gulp) and test automation (Jasmine/Karma)
    • Azure App Services and Azure Functions
    • Git and Build Pipeline tools (Azure DevOps)
    • Diagnostics / logging solutions (Application Insights)
    • This role focuses primarily on web application development using ASP.NET MVC so demonstrable experience with this is important. Experience with other web app frameworks like Angular is a plus but not essential. This is not a design role; graphic design experience is welcome but not required.

    Requirements

    Product Manager

    Description

    • We are seeking for a Product Manager (for digital transformation) to join our Product team.
    • You will work with the Product Director and Product Team to understand the needs of the client. You will gather the requirements on not just what they say they want, but what they really need.
    • Working hand in hand with the commercial lead and product director, you will attend client meetings to discuss the product needs and the proposed solution; including market forces, the company pain points, marketing of the product and overall strategy of the company and the specific product. You will work to feed this information back to clients and confirm all assumptions and hypotheses.
    • You will be responsible for creating the user stories, persona, lifecycles and flows in the product as well as either overseeing or creating wireframes and interacting with the design team to make the wireframes into draft designs and final designs.
    • You will oversee the build process, using Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall methodologies and you will be responsible for making sure the QA and the Product Owner (if applicable) are clear in their work load and their specific tasks to help you deliver the sprint and complete build process.
    • You will be responsible for estimation of work and the communication of the work, stories and tickets to the development team in a clear and unambiguous way. You’ll oversee testing of your product.
    • You will be working on 2 to 3 client projects at a time, which whilst interesting will also be demanding and you’ll need to be able to clearly prioritize your time and efforts.
    • You will be confident of making decisions, explaining your processes and thoughts both internally to the team and to our clients, and have experience of consultative agency approaches, where we need to lead the client and not the other way around.

    Key Tasks
    On a typical day, you may be:

    • Attending client meetings (typically remotely, by phone or Teams)
    • Documenting meeting outcomes
    • Analysing client requirements
    • Documenting client requirements
    • Writing user stories from documented requirements
    • Writing acceptance criteria for user stories
    • Developing wireframes
    • Creating user flows
    • Researching competitors and competitor products
    • Conducting end user research
    • Manually testing acceptance criteria from user stories
    • Working with product managers to refine and agree scope and detail of tasks
    • Helping product team with product related work as necessary.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years experience
    • Deliver accurate and detailed documentation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Highly analytical
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Knowledge of Agile Scrum / Kanban
    • Ability to write user stories
    • Ability to write acceptance criteria
    • Wireframing
    • QA testing.
