    Head, Credit Risk Management

    Details

    • The Head, credit and Risk management develops and implements policies and procedures that reduce credit risk in the organization. He/she manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization, leads/manage initiatives and the development of strategies, methodologies and associated models/processes for measurement of Credit Portfolio Management and periodically preparing and presenting performance reports to the management/board members and all other necessary stakeholders.

    The Head, credit and Risk Management will:

    • Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for the organization.
    • Ensure that sound credit risk measurement and monitoring frameworks are developed and implemented throughout the group in a standardized manner.
    • Manage the Company's Enterprise Risk Management Framework as well as Credit Policy Guidelines
    • Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
    • Oversee the credit review process for customer credit risk evaluation and credit underwriting/ recommendation.
    • Strategize, build and maintain process improvement across all roles in the Credit department
    • Improve and optimized credit approval, recovery and collection processes as well as operational efficiencies.
    • Enhance and review the company's Credit Policies and Standards to reflect the best practice and regulate the risk assets of the group as directed by the Board
    • Spearhead the development, improvement and refinement of credit policies, procedures and strategies to enhance the company's risk management platform
    • Monitor all necessary operations, policies and procedures that will help the company meet its risk Management goals whilst managing and quantifying the organization's ‘risk appetite'.
    • Manage the subordinate staff of the department in the day to day performances of their jobs, while ensuring that departmental projects and activity milestones/goals are met and that all operations adhere to approved policies, budgets and regulations.
    • Coach, supervise and mentor analysts, collections, recovery and underwriting officers for effective, efficient and optimal performances.
    • Develop, manage and optimize the Credit Reporting and Monitoring framework that meets all necessary requirements of both external and internal stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of all reports.
    • Review strategic credit positions, Credit Limits, levels of provisions and concentrations ensuring that they are within stipulated limits
    • Conduct stress and scenario testing on the Risk Asset portfolio
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of information from these, interpret all report information and suggest actions for consideration to and by the relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide requirements and design inputs, particularly with regard to credit risk recognition, measurement and its reporting as part of the core team for implementation of key credit risk related projects (e.g. Credit Management System, IFRS 9 impairment)
    • Manage repayment risk and controlled payment delinquency significantly reducing it
    • Assist in preparation and presentation of the information pack for Board Risk Committee
    • Contribute to system implementation projects in the credit risk space by providing requirements and design inputs, particularly with regard to credit risk recognition and measurement.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or Ph.D qualification with 10-15 years work experience.

    Job Objective

    • The treasury officer position is responsible for corporate liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Source for deposit liabilities from individuals and corporate bodies, through the sale of specially designed investment products.
    • To continually generate a viable pipeline of prospects/potential clients within the desired target market that will ensure the achievement of the set personal and departmental targets
    • To maintain high satisfaction levels when managing Prospects and Clients through the prompt booking of transactions
    • Produce reports of daily and weekly activities.
    • Conduct surveys and provide feedback of rates of other financial institutions
    • Contribute to the development of new products and/or better marketing ideas.
    • Provides recommendation to enhance treasury policies and procedures
    • Liaises regularly with treasury management and divisions in order to understand ongoing changes in business activities and developments
    • Provides the Treasury Manager with adequate information to carry out his/her responsibilities
    • Undertakes other related tasks and duties as assigned by Treasury Manager.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience in IT systems for automation and management of Treasury operations.
    • Advanced Excel/MS Office skills.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • High proficiency in the English Language (both written and spoken).
    • The candidate must reside in the above-mentioned locations.

    Consumer Lending, Team Lead

    Job Description

    • The Team Lead, Consumer Lending will be responsible for driving and optimizing sales within the Asset Creation Team for both the private and public sectors. He / she will consistently be tasked with the responsibilities of following up with team members and customers to maintain relationships and generate sales to meet the set targets.
    • The Team lead, Consumer Lending plays a major role in continuously improving risk asset sales / loan disbursement within the company, and strategically creating relationships for customers while ensuring proper and adequate inflow of new customers and outflow of risk assets in the company to ultimately increase and maintain the credit balance of the company for efficient operation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain team staff requirement
    • Manage day-to-day Consumer Credit team operations.
    • Build, develop and grow team members for optimum performance
    • Constantly liaise, coach mentor, and motivate team members for optimal lead generations and conversion.
    • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring team members meet set targets
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis on key growth indicators for products, people, and process optimization.
    • Generate and contribute via market analysis and customer perception of new products.
    • Establish and maintain a good customer base
    • Strategically devise means to help self and team members to generate and maintain quality sales contacts
    • Motivate, train and maintain a healthy and effective team
    • Identify, develop, and implement process change towards improving customer satisfaction and sales efficiency

    Qualification and Experience

    • Candidates should possess Bachelor's degree with at least 4 yearsb work experience

    Job Knowledge:

    • Relevant knowledge of the company’s market and competitors
    • Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Experienced building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision-makers
    • Experience and good knowledge of the financial market
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales target
