    Security Assistant

    The opportunity

    The Security Assistant will be responsible for the assessments, security related guidance and enforce implementation of security policies, guidelines and procedures for the successful implementation of the WFP food security and nutrition project, with the support of the Head of Safety, Security and Government Protocol; and the Security Officer located in Damaturu.

    About You

    • We are looking for applicant with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with evidence of completion of NYSC or discharged certificate in any relevant field of study.
    • The preferred candidate should possess strong knowledge and experience in occupational security, health & safety operations. Ability to guide staff with limited security capacity and to predict and respond to security threats/incidents. He/she should be able to prioritise and manage complex and varied workloads, often to tight deadlines, in a dynamic, fragile and multi-cultural setting.
    • Strong diplomatic, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills including negotiation and influencing skills is desirable.

    Nutrition Officer

    The opportunity

    The Nutrition Officer is responsible to ensure that the nutrition activities including BSFP are functioning properly, providing quality care to all targeted beneficiaries, and respecting protocols and principles of good practice.

    About You

    • We are looking for applicant with university degree in disciplines such as Nutrition, Food Science, Nursing, Public Health, or any relevant discipline, and/or a Diploma in Nursing with at least three (3) years of experience in the field of nutrition at the community level.
    • The preferred candidate should possess strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation skills. Experience in working on “In-kind Distributions” and managing UNWFP funded projects. He/she should possess strong leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and the ability to deliver PLAN’s strategic objectives.
