    CCCM Focal Point (National position)

    General purpose of the position

    Under the direct supervision of the CCCM Manager, the CCCM FP oversees community mobilization and supports CCCM community activities. This includes information sharing campaigns, implementation of complaints and feedback mechanism in the camp. Further, the role holder ensures that vulnerable groups and people with specific needs are represented and participate in CCCM activities. S/he fosters the capacity growth of the Camp Committee Members in community mobilization, to ensure that they can effectively disseminate information to the camp population, advocate for the needs of their own community and influence humanitarian assistance delivery.

    Tasks and Main Responsibilities

    • Supports in carrying out site level camp committee mapping for all sites within the camp.
    • Ensures all new arriving refugees are registered and persons with specific needs such unaccompanied minors, separated children and children at risk are identified and attended to;
    • Assist in the development of effective referral mechanisms in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Carrying out, monitor and follow up on referrals.
    • Conducts surveys, assessments and continues to monitor social change and new social information relevant to community empowerment.
    • Updates public information boards with site management and partner information.
    • Supports and collaborate with CCCM team in site management activities;
    • Monitors the living conditions in vulnerable population at the reception centre, define gaps and prioritize needs;
    • Alerts the Centre supervisor on movement trends (arrivals and departures), and any incident or urgent needs to be addressed in order to ensure a rapid response;
    • Collects information on regular basis and refer to partners, if relevant, to address an issue in a timely manner.
    • Follows up to ensure matters related to beneficiary needs are been resolved;
    • Reports information timely and send all data on weekly basis;
    • Supports in organization of meetings with authorities and community groups under the supervision of Reception centre supervisor.
    • Supports in maintaining site information management systems and monitor service provision including cross-cutting services such as prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), health, psychosocial support among others in all sectors of the site according to guidelines, standards and indicators.
    • Assists in the design, preparation and dissemination of IEC material
    • Ensures compliance to INTERSOS internal procedures and donor procedure.
    • Any other task, assigned by the supervisor.

    Position Requirements

    Professional requirements

    • Minimum of a diploma in a relevant course.
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a humanitarian/recovery context

    Personal requirements*

    • Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness.
    • Understanding of gender, protection and human rights.
    • Knowledge of the local languages spoken in the operation area is an asset.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with national staff members and other stakeholders.
    • Experience living and working in cross-cultural, multi-sector, insecure, and/or remote environments.

    Program Manager ECHO COVAX (National position)

    General purpose of the position

    Under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator, the Project Manager for ECHO COVAX will ensure planning and delivery of all components of INTERSOS Nigeria COVAX projects as a key component of the COVID-19 response project funded by ECHO and facilitate a coherent approach to INTERSOS Nigeria COVID-19 overall response. S/he will serve as INTERSOS Nigeria focal point for activities related to COVAX project as a key component of the COVID-19 preparedness and response.

    Tasks and Main Responsibilities

    • Develops and maintains appropriate communication with the teams and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Participates and proactively engages in COVAX - COVID-19 preparedness coordination meetings and working groups at State, National and field level. Provide summary notes off all external meetings for relevant internal stakeholders.
    • Develops and delivers training on COVID-19 preparedness to INTERSOS staff.
    • Reviews and updates relevant Project Agreements, and Memorandum of Understanding.
    • Provides updates during various meetings such as advisor’s and management, or any other ad hoc meetings.
    • In coordination with the Country Staff Health Focal Point, assesses the need for and contribute towards the design and implementation of in-country COVID-19-related staff health protocols and procedures.
    • Manages COVID-19 and COVAX preparedness activities, alongside the relevant field PM and PC, to meet the project objectives within budget and allotted time frame.
    • Contributes to the development and implementation of a COVAX INTERSOS Cross-Country strategy and a harmonized COVID-19 preparedness and response strategy.
    • Continuously monitors and supervises COVID-19 preparedness and response activities, evaluating progress through outputs and impact. Provides input into the integration of beneficiary participation and accountability.
    • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of activities according to applicable timeframes and formats.
    • Participates in the development of interventions and new proposals, linked to the assessed needs and gaps.
    • Supports in developing and implementing the ECHO COVAX project monitoring and evaluation plan, and timely submission of reports and other document requirements.
    • Trains relevant staff on various aspects of COVAX management and coverage, COVID-19 preparedness, IPC, etc., in line with established SOPs.
    • Supports the development of a COVAX – COVID 19 images database, including IEC/BCC material validated and used by INTERSOS Nigeria and partners.
    • Responsible for ensuring project implementation is according to INTERSOS Nigeria, ECHO and international guidelines, in conjunction with Medical Coordinator.
    • Contributes towards setting objectives of COVAX project, emergency COVID-19-related health/WASH assessments and interventions, monitoring progress, etc.
    • Works with the logistics and supply chain department to ensure stock, purchase requests, cash forecasts and movement requests are submitted.
    • Supports the logistics activities of health and WASH staff, in relation to the purchasing of COVID-19 related supplies, etc. Liaise with the health, WASH and logistics staff to ensure that quality items are procured, transported, stored, etc.
    • Supports the Head of Base in ensuring proper social distancing and other preparedness measures are implemented in area of operations.
    • Management of the Project budget and ensure project reporting conforms to donor rules and regulations.
    • Management of direct reports (including development, performance, and recruitment)
    • Supports and mentors team members by identifying clear deliverables and providing training and coaching
    • Supports and monitors program staff planning of activities
    • Any other task as assigned by the Supervisor

    Position Requirements

    Professional requirements

    • Relevant Degree in science or related subject
    • Minimum 4 years of work experience at national level project implementation position in a humanitarian

    context;

    • Technical Food Security knowledge of WFP malnutrition prevention project activities

    • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, power point presentation etc.)
    • Ability to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines;
