    Surge Ad hoc Support Intern - Laboratory Services

    Job Description

    • The Laboratory Intern liaises with the State Laboratory Team and designated Facility Laboratory to provide technical support and implement high quality laboratory services for the uptake of VL/EID services to meet 3rd 95 goals.
    • S/he will provide direct bench support to strengthen the uptake of VL/ EID testing in the PCR lab, to ensure up to date reporting on testing and, equipment functionality and Commodity availability and usage.
    • S/He will be responsible for updating the PCR laboratory’s operations trackers and collate data for plasma VL, DBS VL and EID samples received and tested at the laboratory, support preparation of daily report of samples received, results dispatched, and assay performed, support inventory management of laboratory consumables and reagents and updating the PCR bin cards.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • B.Sc in Laboratory Sciences or related field with 1 - 2 years post national youth service experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.
    • Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to PCR Lab.
    • Certification of License to practice as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system such as Teaching Hospitals and NGOs is highly desirable.

    Surge Ad hoc Support Intern - Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

    Job Description

    • Theincumbent will ensure implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting at the OSS, ensure rigorous and quality data collection, be responsible for data collation, processing, and reporting of monthly summary forms from the One Stop Shop (OSS).
    • Also, she/he will carry out data verification exercises at various service points, participate in program review meetings, conduct routine Data Quality Assurance exercises at the OSS and participate in project baseline, midterm and end of project evaluation and special data requests.
    • The successful candidate will maintain an inventory of data collection tools in the facility, be conversant with GF indicators reporting on HIV prevention, care and treatment.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • HND or B.Sc in a Medical Records, Biostatistics, Medical field or Biological Sciences with 2 to 5 years post-NYSC experience in program/project management.
    • A minimum of 3 years post-NYSC relevant experience in program or project management of Public Health programs.
    • Possession of a post graduate degree in a related field, including Health Informatics,
    • Data virtualization, etc., is an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of Report Writing, activity budgeting, activity tracking with set timelines.
    • Skillful in Data analysis, data virtualization, Health informatics, use LAMIS, DHIS, POWER BI, etc.

    Technical Assistant - Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT)

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will provide supportive and supervisory oversight to Mentor Mothers and PMTCT Counsellor Testers at the facility and Community, provide innovative strategies to reach all pregnant women in and outside the facility (community) and support Case Manager mentor-mothers to follow-up HIV positive pregnant women and mother-infant pair to ensure all appointments are kept. He/she will ensure ART uptake and adherence by HIV-positive pregnant women through labor, delivery and postpartum, ensure linkage of all Identified Positive Pregnant Women to care and timely initiation on ART and monitor and ensure administration of prophylactic regimen to all HIV exposed babies.
    • The TA-PMTCT will also ensure linkage of all HEI and documentation of EID services in the Child-follow-up Register, support and follow-up of all HEI until outcome is known, monitor and ensure Mentor Mothers maintain a log of all assigned positive pregnant Mothers’ contacts (descriptive addresses and phone numbers) and keep comprehensive records of clinic appointments and interventions carried out to support them on retention.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • HND, B.Sc in a Medical field or Biological Sciences with 2 to 5 years post-NYSC experience in Program/project management.
    • Possession of a postgraduate degree in a related field is an added advantage. 
    • Good knowledge of Report Writing, activity budgeting, activity tracking with set timelines.

    Technical Assistant - PSM & Logistics

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will support the state and LGA logistics management coordinating unit (LMCU) and facilities to generate quality and timely bi-monthly CRRF/PPR reports and ensure entry into NHLMIS Platform, provide periodic DSD and Logistics reports to STO Logistics and follow up on identified priority action points for system improvement across supported sites.
    • He/she will ensure uninterrupted availability of ARVs, RTKs, and Lab consumables for supported facilities, private hospitals, and community ART management teams, carry out redistribution of HIV/AIDs commodities across facilities to prevent stock out and conduct physical assessment of HIV/AIDs commodities in store to prevent expiration and wastage.
    • The TA-PSM & Logistics will submit monthly stock status tracker (MSST) report to the STO PSM, ensure availability and proper usage of LMIS tools including the DSD monitoring registers and participate in CQIs and Cluster Review meetings as an avenue for capacity building for facility staff.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • HND, B.Sc in a Medical field or Biological Sciences with 2 to 5 years post-NYSC experience in program/project management.
    • A minimum of 2 years post-NYSC relevant experience in Program or Project Management of Public Health programs.

    Senior Technical Officer - Prevention, Care & Treatment (STO - PCT)

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will provide technical leadership and support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of programs for the General and Key population.
    • S/He will Work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of Anti-retroviral treatment, TB HIV services integration, PMTCT, KP services, care and support.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / Ph.D or similar Degree with 5 to 6 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
    • Possession of an MPH or postgraduate degree in a related field is required.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.

    Technical Assistant - Pharmacy

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will be responsible for dispensing Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) and other medication in line with approved regimens and standards, dispensing ARVs in appropriate packaging with clear instructions and providing medication-related counselling, including reinforcing adherence and advising on potential side effects and drug interactions.
    • S/he will provide drug information to health service providers and clients on request, identifying and supporting follow-up of clients who do not return for refills of their ARVs, work with providers and clients to identify, manage, and report adverse drug reactions and drug interactions.
    • Also, s/he will contribute to decision-making on treatment and care for individual clients, ensure Good Pharmaceutical Practice (GPP) and standards, calculate drug storage needs for ART start-up and expansion, monitor ARV and other drugs (STIs, OIs, etc.) stock levels at the OSS and communicate with the project team for re-stocking.
    • S/he will also assess the functionality of existing pharmaceutical management systems and develop implementation plans that prioritize and address gaps.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or other relevant field with prior experience in supply chain management and HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in HIV programming for Key Population community in developing countries.
    • Experience in Pharmacy Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
    • Experience in HIV/AIDS monitoring.
    • Proficiency in MS Access, SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and other Office packages.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate in local dialect will be an advantage.

    Assistant Technical Officer

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will provide technical and programmatic support as well as implement high-quality care and support activities with primary focus on coordination of supported sites.
    • Assist in the coordination, implementation of all components related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS.
    • Contribute to the development of program work plans.
    • Provide technical and programmatic support for high-quality program implementation in the areas of ART, PMTCT, HIV/TB and HIV clinical care services in line with national guidelines and international best practices, and work towards target achievement by supported sites and program sustainability.
    • Promote stakeholder engagement by working with various levels of government, their relevant bodies/agencies, and other partners.
    • Monitor and report of the interventions implemented by GF and its Partners in the assigned state location and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the HIV programming.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • A Medical Degree (MBBS), B.Pharm, B.Sc. Public Health, B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. in Social Sciences; with 3 to 5 post-NYSC experience.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an added advantage. 
    • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in HIV prevention, treatment, and care programs.
    • Good knowledge of management of infectious diseases, especially HIV/AIDS and TB
    • Good working knowledge of current National and WHO HIV/AIDS guidelines for prevention, treatment, care & support of adults and children.

    Assistant Technical Officer - Clinical Services

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will provide technical leadership and technical support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS and Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to Key populations (MSM, FSW, PWID & Transgender).
    • Provide ART services to Key Populations in line with current World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and national guidelines both at the OSS and through mobile ART sites.
    • Oversee clinical HIV treatment protocols in each clinical department to reflect the needs of the Keys populations and ensure consistency of treatment services throughout the OSS.
    • Ensure seamless delivery of service for clients from intake through discharge at the OSS.
    • Effectively manage and supervise other health service providers, volunteers and case managers at the OSS as well as mobile ART teams.
    • Advise project team on national and state policies, procedures and licensing requirements and ensure compliance with all requirements and/or mandatory inspections.
    • Provide support to the Strategic Information (SI) unit to manage data collection for service delivery to Key Populations in project communities using nationally approved tools.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS or similar Degree with 3 to 4 years post NYSC with at least 2 years of progressive experience providing services to PLHIVs in Nigeria. 
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience working with KP and facilitating technical trainings.
    • Excellent ability to communicate and maintain diplomatic and productive relations with the team; resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast changing and challenging environment.

    Assistant Technical Officer - Adaptive Monitoring and Evaluation, Research & Learning (ATO-AMERL)

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will work with others in the State Office and Local Implementing Partners to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the Donor and Project’s M&E needs.
    • S/he will re-validate high Frequency reporting, support onsite mentoring activities under the guidance of the Technical Officer-AMERL and take regular M&E tools inventory, reporting same to the Technical Officer-AMERL.
    • S/He will monitor periodic M&E tools distribution to supported sites, provide administrative support to the department, provide M&E support to the states, and ensure that locally employed Monitoring and Evaluation Staff, Consultants and Partners understand and can support the M&E requirements and coordinate the logistics for all State M&E department trainings, workshops, and meetings.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / Ph.D or similar Degree with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
    • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
    • Or BS/BA in statistics, pharmacy, microbiology, monitoring, and evaluation or in relevant degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.

    Assistant Technical Officer - Health Informatics

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will be engaged to ensure the optimization and full functionality of all supported databases (LAMIS inclusive) across all ACE supported facilities while also coordinating all Health Informatics related activities in the State.
