    O&M Technical Analyst

    The role entails a comprehensive responsibility for the successful implementation of the SAP Preventive Maintenance Module, which is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of operations. This includes conducting thorough Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to identify underlying issues that impact machinery performance, coupled with comprehensive downtime analysis to assess and mitigate any disruptions in production processes. Additionally, the position requires a keen focus on inventory optimization strategies to ensure we maintain optimal stock levels, thereby reducing waste and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • 5-10 years of experience in the Cement Industry.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Familiarity with the SAP Preventive Maintenance module.
    • Understanding of electro-mechanical equipment used in cement plants, including VRMs, kilns, coolers, and crushers.
    • Experience in planning preventive maintenance schedules and conducting inspections.
    • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
    • Ability to analyze equipment downtime.
    • Knowledge of maintenance KPIs such as equipment reliability, availability, and utilization.
    • Expertise in inventory optimization and maintenance cost analysis.
    • Awareness of safety protocols.
    • Experience in updating datasheets and technical documentation.

    Inventory Officer (Stores)

    The Inventory Officer (Stores) will oversee the management of all inventory activities related to the organization’s stores. This position involves conducting inventory audits, managing stock levels, and implementing effective inventory control measures to ensure the accuracy of the records and optimization of inventory levels.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the stores, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
    • Ensure that all goods received are checked for quality and quantity against the purchase orders and stored appropriately.
    • Implement and maintain a FIFO (First In, First Out) system for managing inventory.
    • Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking and stockouts, ensuring that reorder points are established and acted upon promptly.
    • Record and track all material movements, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
    • Prepare accurate inventory reports and provide insights on stock levels, trends, and discrepancies to the Head of Stores.
    • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to synchronize inventory flows with operational needs.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for continuous improvement of inventory operations.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing inventory management.
    • Train and supervise store staff on effective inventory management practices.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage facility in line with HSE standards.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Stores.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or related roles within a manufacturing environment.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of inventory management best practices and regulations.

    Sustainability Specialist (Anglophone)

    The position encompasses operations in English-speaking regions and is dedicated to overseeing the sustainability performance of Dangote Cement Plc. The Specialist will be tasked with monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting performance to ensure compliance and will recommend strategic solutions to achieve ESG targets.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prepare and present ESG reports and business cases for operationalizing sustainability.
    • Facilitate the localization of Group procedures in Pan Africa plants, while overseeing implementation of Group sustainability processes in Anglophone countries.
    • Coordinates the decarbonization program, including training and adherence to the minimum requirements of reduction action plans and other actions of the plant decarbonization working groups.
    • Utilize carbon accounting software and tools to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely submission of ESG reports.
    • Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive decarbonization strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
    • Support the Head of Sustainability in implementing climate action, partnerships and harnessing opportunities for climate funding.
    • Coordinate efforts to identify and secure external climate funding sources 9inclusing carbon credits) to implement decarbonization initiatives and carbon offsets for all plants. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate decarbonisation considerations into business operations and ensure the operationalisation in technical functions and supply chain.

    Requirements

    Education

    • Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field. A Master’s degree in related courses, such as Energy Sustainability, Renewable Energy would be an advantage.

    Desirable Criteria

    • Experience managing retrofit projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
    • Experience with GHG protocol, certified with ISO 14064 or ISO 14001
    • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    • Abreast with sustainability trends and the relationship between Dangote Cement Group, the global industry, and the environment
