    IT Administrator

    Background

    • We seek to hire an IT Administrator who will be responsible for the smooth running and maintenance of our computer systems, develop the company brand through web management and social media, configure computers to meet end-user requirements, manage networks and email systems, troubleshoot different computer issues, technical issues and resolve all technical challenges. The officer will also be responsible for providing technical support to end users.

    Expectations:

    • It is expected that you ensure I.T. systems are functional and up to date. As such, you will be required to possess in-depth knowledge of systems administration and control, web management, problem solving skills, adaptability and critical thinking ability.
    • You are also expected to reliable and proactive in ensuring that software and hardware devices as well as network connections are always in good conditions.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and manage emails as well as accounts back-ups and signature for end users.
    • Manage information technology and computer systems and electronic data operations.
    • Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve all network and computer related issues.
    • Integrate security, physical control solutions for all confidential data and systems.
    • Integrate and configure computer networking for best performance.
    • Upgrade systems with new models and software.
    • Schedule, setup and manage virtual events.
    • Liaises with IT vendors and service providers to the organizations for quality service delivery to staff and stakeholders.
    • Conduct periodic system servicing and maintenance.
    • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
    • Identify security gaps and provide relevant solutions in consultation with the Operations manager.
    • Develop and manage the budget of the IT department.
    • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
    • Enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades and advise operations unit on changes or improvements required.
    • Help install and maintain all IT equipmentandinfrastructureforeffective service delivery.
    • Liaise with other departments for timely resolution of IT related issues.
    • Carry out in-House Trainings and other tasks that are related to the job function as assigned.

    Educational Qualification and Experience Requirement

    • B.Sc. in BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as a system administrator/IT specialist.
    • Hands-on experience with computer networks, email administration, and network administration and
    • Knowledge of Cyber security and Web Management will be an added advantage.

    Required Competencies:

    • Sound technical knowledge about IT, Microsoft 365 Azure, Security of systems and current trends and developments in information technology.
    • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
    • Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repairs, and troubleshooting.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different personalities and cross-functional teams.
    • Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong analytical thinking, good planning and organizational skills.
    • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
    • Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
    • Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines, and achieving results.

    Mining Liaison Officer

    Purpose of the Job

    • We are looking for a Mining Engineer who will work closely with the Procurement Team and be responsible for overseeing and vetting the grade of specific solid Minerals from Suppliers and ensuring that all mining operations comply with Local, State, and Federal regulations.

    Expectations

    • In this job, you will be responsible for ensuring best practices and compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulatory directives on Mining, analyse ground materials to assess their risk factors and advise on the best procedures for handling of all Supplies.
    • You also need good communication skills to engage Suppliers and Government Officials in the most efficient manner possible.

    Responsibilities

    • Liaise with Government regulatory Agencies on behalf of the Company with regards to Facilty inspections, monthly fillings, renewal of licenses, permits etc
    • Ensuring best practices and compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations Regulatory directives on Mining
    • Ensure compliance to HSE guidelines on site
    • Creating reports that detail findings about mining and supply operations.
    • Ensure compliance with Government and Company Policies and Procedures on mining related activities, particularly monthly fillings
    • Routinely check with Government Agencies to ensure we are compliant on all fronts regarding mining related matters.
    • Create a monitoring and database maintenance as per license conditions and reporting requirements;
    • Build good community and stakeholder relationship with Suppliers
    • Serve as an interface between the Company and the grass-roots communities, local government stakeholders, and all relevant Agencies
    • Work as a team with all departments especially procurement to support them achieve their purchase and payment TAT, supplier Management expectations and fosters a good working relationship;
    • Support Health and Safety, Environment functions
    • Manage, monitor and ensure closure on issues with Suppliers such as, Grievance Register and Stakeholder Engagement Register and other registers and trackers;
    • Routinely check with Government Agencies to ensure we are compliant on all fronts
    • Ensure there is coordination and communication within the Company to ensure social risks are minimised;
    • Assist with the implementation of sustainable practices throughout the site
    • Promote a favourable public image of the Company through community programs/initiative
    • Performs any other duty as may be assigned by the Senior Management.

    Educational Qualification and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Minning, Geography, Geotechnology, or relevant fields.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Geo-mining Engineer or similar role.
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geoscientists and Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers (NIMG) and Geoscientists (COMEG).

    Required Competencies:

    • Experience as a Communications & Public relations Officer will be an added advantage
    • Familiarity with environmental regulations.
    • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
    • Great communication skills (oral and written).
    • Organizational and teamwork ability.
