    Investigative Assistant

    Duties
    Basic Function:

    • The Investigative Assistant (IA) assists in an array of sensitive and complex criminal investigations related to document fraud, human smuggling, trafficking in persons, and other criminal issues as directed by the Assistant Regional Security Officer- Investigator (ARS0-1).
    • The job holder provides investigative, analytical, and administrative support in the operation of the Diplomatic Security (DS) Overseas Criminal Investigations(OCI) program at post.
    • The job holder updates the ongoing investigations database in Department of State (DOS) computer  systems, and controls access of sensitive information. The incumbent must be able to obtain a Secret (S) security clearance.

    Education Requirements:

    • Two years of general College or University study is required.

    Experience: 

    • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative, journalism, education, business, logistics, investigative analysis, legal,  law enforcement, emergency response, analytical or research-related field is required.

    • Liaise with the  interagency to track Mission activities, trending issues,  alumni and local influencers for amplifying on digital platforms.
    • Incumbent will also provide analytical data and contribute to regular mentoring reports and serves as back-up to the webmaster.

    Qualifications and Evaluations
    Education Requirements:

    • University Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Telecommunication Engineering, or Marketing is required.
    • Note: NYSC Certificate or Exemption document is required.

    Experience: 

    • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in design, creation and packaging of visual and multimedia content for digital marketing, advertising or mass communications purposes, including extensive experience as an advanced end user of industry standard desktop and mobile software applications, internet and related communications technologies, and integration of visual content into web content management systems is required.
