Description

• The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices for our employees.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 3 years work experience.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Collaborate with internal support team to ensure payroll (Paychex) is completed accurately and on-time.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

• We're looking for a senior software engineer (5-6 years of experience) to join our Backend team, developing our most business critical technology and to grow her/his technical skills.
• Our engineering team is product minded, focused on creating a next generation payments infrastructure, offering the best possible developer experience for accepting payments online. We currently use Node.s and running on AWS lambda, but our tech stacks are subject to change and we hire agnostically.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing highly secure, fault tolerant APIs for our frotnend app
• Working in close collaboration with infrastructure and frontend teams
• Taking ownership of key technology decisions, building for scale and optimising for output
• Continuously look at ways of improving our ways of working
• Developing deep payments expertise, always looking for ways to optimise our backend infrastructure
• Creating detailed internal documentation for the projects you work on

Requirements

• Experience building high performance, distributed systems (+4years)
• Node.js (4+ years of experience)
• Experience of driving and using modern development practices such as BDD and TDD would be highly advantageous
• Passion for beautiful, well tested code
• In-depth understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)
• Highly motivated self-starter who values autonomy and getting things done
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Past Experience in a Fintech startup is a plus

Salary
US$2,500 monthly.

Requirements

• 4+ year of experience in applications programming.
• Experience in full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.

• English at least upper-Intermediate.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills: an ability to work with U.S.-based team members.
• Methodology knowledge ( SCRUM or other).
• Ability to clearly explain the current state of development and current problems.

Will be an advantage:

• Knowledge of .Net Core, MS WebAPI 2
• Experience in building modern Web UIs using any frameworks (Angular or React or Vue) and SPA approach.
• Experience with a message-based distributed system (NServiceBus big plus)
• Experience with CQRS
• Cloud (Azure big plus)
• Knowledge of Redis, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (we use TeamCity - Octopus combination)
• Experience in highly transactional retail websites.
