Job Description

• We are looking for a proactive and organised Human Resource Associate to join our People & Culture team.
• The Human Resource Associate will support and execute day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, while contributing to employee experience, performance management, HR administration, reporting, and People & Culture initiatives.
• This is a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with different stakeholders, taking initiative, and adapting quickly as priorities change. You should have a good understanding of Human Resource Management and be eager to continue developing your knowledge and practical HR skills.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration:

• Manage and support day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain HR reports, trackers, forms, and other documentation.
• Monitor HR processes and deadlines to ensure activities are completed on schedule.
• Support the implementation, review, and improvement of HR processes and workflows.
• Ensure employee information and HR documentation are handled with appropriate confidentiality.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

• Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, and recruitment documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure new employees complete required documentation and processes.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure new employees have a smooth onboarding experience.
• Monitor probation and confirmation processes and ensure required actions are completed on time.
• Coordinate offboarding activities, including exit documentation, clearance, and other required processes.

Employee Experience & Engagement:

• Support employee engagement and People & Culture initiatives.
• Coordinate employee communications, celebrations, surveys, and other engagement activities.
• Respond to employee queries and provide appropriate HR support.
• Escalate sensitive or complex employee matters to the appropriate HR lead.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve the overall employee experience.

Performance Management & Learning:

• Support the planning and execution of performance appraisal processes.
• Track appraisal completion, outstanding actions, and performance-related deadlines.
• Support probation and confirmation reviews.
• Coordinate learning and development activities and maintain relevant records.
• Assist with employee development initiatives and training requests.

HR Data & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate HR data and regularly review records for inconsistencies or missing information.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce-related insights.
• Track key HR metrics and provide relevant updates to the People & Culture team.
• Use HR data to identify trends, gaps, and areas requiring attention.
• Support HR decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

Policies & Process Improvement:

• Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure HR processes are applied consistently and in line with company policies.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Research HR practices and trends that may improve the organisation's people processes.

General Responsibilities:

• Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with managers and employees across different teams.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee matters.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.
• Perform other HR-related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• A good understanding of Human Resource Management and core HR functions.
• Previous experience in HR through an internship, NYSC placement, entry-level role, or similar experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
