A highly skilled and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Develop and update health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Monitor and report on the company's environmental performance, ensuring adherence to environmental standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
Organize and conduct HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Promote awareness of HSE issues and best practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential crises and ensure the safety of personnel.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify HSE issues and monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety measures.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular reports on HSE performance, including key metrics and trends.
Oversee the proper handling and disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in the agriculture or palm oil industry.
Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus.
Responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high quality standards.
A crucial role in optimizing our supply chain and vendor relationships to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee the process for pre-qualifying and selecting all vendors and negotiating prices with them.
Create and maintain relationships with venders/suppliers.
Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies.
Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
Follow the due process in the selection of vendors and documentation.
Ensure policy guidelines /steps to procurement are followed.
Actively managing the supply chain and collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, critically analyzing company spending, and managing supplier risks.
Ensure all procurement requests are budgeted for.
Maintain a price list quarterly across all items and services procured.
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods and services.
Ensure timely payments for all goods and services rendered.
Carry out market price surveys at least once every quarter.
Procuring all office supplies and materials.
Ensure that the products/services are delivered as of when due.
Prepare reports, correspondence and all other documents on procurement matters.
Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications is a plus.
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful procurement and cost-saving initiatives.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supply chain management.
Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in the use of procurement software and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Evaluate and audit our palm oil production processes, ensuring adherence to established standards, environmental regulations, and ethical guidelines.
A deep understanding of agricultural practices and sustainability principles is required and the ability to assess and improve our farming operations.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular on-site audits of palm oil plantations, assessing compliance with environmental, social, and ethical standards.
Evaluate and analyze agricultural practices to identify areas for improvement in sustainability, efficiency, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including farmers, agronomists, and operations managers, to implement corrective actions and best practices.
Review and analyze documentation related to land use, water management, and chemical usage to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainable agriculture, incorporating new knowledge into auditing processes.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for continuous improvement.
Provide training and support to internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of sustainable agricultural practices.
Foster positive relationships with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and other stakeholders involved in palm oil production.
Requirements
HND / BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
2 - 3 years’ relevant audit experience
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Certification as a sustainability auditor is a plus.
Technology savvy, and high level of proficiency in MS. Office (particularly MS. Excel).
