Job Summary             

Oversee the activities of the Power Plant including operations, maintenance, health and safety.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the power plant ensuring the power plant is operated and maintained in accordance with operation manuals and company standards. To ensure power Generation and supply to cement Plant as per production requirement.
• Overall responsibility for handling the Gas supply and Management, handling Gas contracts with NGML
• Overall responsibility of handling long term service contracts with OEMs of Gas Turbine generators.
• Overall responsibility for the environmental management and compliance with laid down company policy.
• Oversee the procurement of Power Plant spare parts ensuring that all spares, equipment and furnishing are completed in accordance with the Power Plant operations and in accordance to the budget.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of management plans for improvement of the Plant performance.
• Oversee the planning of all plant maintenance activities.
• Ensure the occupational health and safety of all the individuals working in the Power Plant.
• Overall responsible for training and development of staff members
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Plant Director from time to time.
• Financial Accountability - Responsible for controlling costs of Power Plant as per the Budget provision, Verification & certification of Gas bills

Key Requirements

• Academic / Professional Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Power option, or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Work Experience

• Minimum of Twenty (20) years demonstrated operating experience in Gas Turbine based  Power Plants, With 5 years of experience as Head – Power plant.

• Evidence of the operation of Gas Turbine based power generation plants with high level of output, availability and efficiency.
• Commercial acumen and experience regarding how to monitor & control the O&M costs of Power Plant including the ability to manage contracts effectively and to compile and manage budgets and operating costs.

Job Summary:

The Account Officer – Waybill is responsible for managing, recording, reconciling, and monitoring all financial transactions relating to waybills. The role ensures that waybill collections, Dispatch payments, and related financial records are accurate, properly documented, and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, record, and maintain accurate waybill financial records.
• Verify waybills to ensure that transportation charges, customer details, destination, and other relevant information are correct.
• Record daily waybill transactions into the accounting system or appropriate records.
• Ensure that all waybill-related income is properly captured and accounted for.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between waybills, receipts, collections, and accounting records.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of waybills, receipts, invoices, and payment records.
• Work with the Operations and Dispatch teams to confirm completed deliveries.

Requirements and Qualifications

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a transport, logistics, courier, or haulage company.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial controls.
• Experience handling waybills, receipts, collections, or transport-related financial records is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) To ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.
• Provide relevant information and direction to patrollers and operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the shift coordination
• Assist in implementing Dangote Cement Plc.'s approved production
• Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribe standards and environmental regulations
• Log in process data at specified intervals, documents and report operational activities accordingly.
• Ensure smooth operation of the crusher raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to shift coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of the field work
• Inform patrollers, Attendants and operators of failures, potential failure or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with shift coordinators, Engineers and the section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes
• Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practises
• Prepare detailed reports on the work undertaken in clear and concise manner
• Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyors belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming
• Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift
• Perform any other duties assigned by the section Head /HOD

Key Requirements

• Holder of BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or any related discipline.
• At least three (3) years of working experience in relevant position in cement or similar industry.
