    Head of Finance

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly strategic and detail-oriented Head of Finance to lead and manage the financial operations of our fast-growing betting company. The ideal candidate will have deep financial expertise, experience in managing high-volume transactions, and a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance in the betting or fintech space. This role is crucial to driving financial planning, risk management, and long-term profitability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Strategy & Planning

    • Develop and implement robust financial strategies to support business growth.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling across departments.
    • Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support executive decision-making.

    Financial Operations

    • Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and cash flow management.
    • Monitor and optimize transaction processing, payment gateways, and digital wallet systems.
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

    Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with local financial laws, tax regulations, and betting industry standards.
    • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.
    • Establish internal controls and ensure financial integrity and transparency.

    Performance Monitoring & Cost Control

    • Track key financial KPIs, betting margins, and payout ratios.
    • Conduct variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Evaluate and monitor performance of gaming products and business lines.

    Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and departmental heads to align financial goals with company strategy.

    Stakeholder Reporting

    • Prepare financial statements, investor reports, and board presentations.
    • Support fundraising efforts and manage relationships with banks, investors, and partners.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
    • ICAN, ACCA, or CPA certification is required.
    • 7+ years’ experience in senior finance roles, preferably in betting, fintech, or high-volume transaction industries.
    • Strong knowledge of betting regulations, financial systems, and risk controls.
    • Proficient in financial software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and Excel.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

    Account Manager (Finance)

    Job Summary:

    The ideal Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including entering journals, managing accounts receivable and payable, using financial technology systems, and other select finance-related administration. The Manager ensures timely reconciliation and reporting of all financial statements and prepares financial analyses for the Director and other key stakeholders as requested; and maintains fiscal records. The Manager serves as the primary contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts and revenue, and budgets. The Manager also implements and trains staff to use software that streamlines processes and improves distribution and accessibility of financial information.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts and accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly.
    • Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
    • Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition.
    • Monitoring cash and investment balances and performing cash flow forecasting.
    • Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and federal and state laws and regulations.
    • Assisting in developing and monitoring departmental, project, and organizational budget; assisting with monthly financial reporting needs.
    • Performing fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
    • Communicating regularly with the Head of Finance.
    • Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software.
    • Managing select administration activities, such as state unemployment and income tax registrations.
    • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements

    QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field required.
    • Master’s degree and/or ICAN, ACCA, CPA certification a plus.
    • 5 to 10 years in financial management and accounting, preferably in a technology organization.
    • Supervisory experience a plus. Skills and Knowledge.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with expertise in Excel required.
    • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
    • Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage Intacct, BILL) required.
    • Experience overseeing the annual audit.
    • Superior data management and data analysis skills.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
