    Head of Credit Management

    Position Overview:

    • As the Head of Credit Management, you will play a key role in the Credit and Risk Department, overseeing the credit risk assessment, management, and monitoring processes.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of credit policies and procedures, managing a team of credit professionals, and contributing to the overall success and stability of the bank.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Credit Policy Development: Lead the development, review, and implementation of credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
    • Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Regularly review and update risk models.
    • Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the credit management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements related to credit management and ensure the bank's practices align with these standards.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on credit portfolio performance, delinquency rates, and other relevant metrics. Provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Compliance, and Finance, to ensure seamless integration of credit processes and adherence to overall organizational goals.

    Qualifications:

    • BSc/HND in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, with a focus on microfinance or banking.
