    Head, Internal Audit

    Job Summary

    • The Head, Internal Audit will be responsible for providing internal control reviews, that support the delivery of the statutory and regulatory obligations of the Company.
    • The successful candidate will compile and issue reports detailing conclusions and provide recommendations for improvement as well as liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
    • The Head, Internal Audit will report directly to the Managing Director/CEO and will supervise the Audit Manager, Audit Supervisors, and Audit Officers.

    Job Description
    In fulfilling his or her responsibilities, the successful Candidate will:

    • Contribute to and implement strategic plans and policies as established by the Executive Management & board of directors for the Internal Audit function.
    • Lead the audit department to deliver the annual audit plan.
    • Review systems, controls, and processes to ensure compliance with company’s policies, plans, procedures enhancing operations and organisational compliance.
    • Review sector, legislative, statutory, and organisational changes, assess the potential impact on the company’s controls assurance framework and adapt work plans accordingly.
    • Monitor the company’s compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, and service standards and prepare the annual Statement on Internal Control for consideration by the Group Audit Committee.
    • Develop and maintain a robust framework for controls review.
    • Lead and initiate controls and assurance reviews, reporting findings to audit committee and senior management teams.
    • Manage development and production of policies, core briefing and training, FAQs and guidance on risk identification and management, fraud, whistle blowing.
    • Prepare and present reports to managers, boards, and committees, as required.
    • Ensure that all services have effective and innovative policies, procedures and systems covering of aspects of work.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
    • Relevant professional qualification in relevant discipline or post graduate degree.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant work experience with at least 5 years at Management level.
    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organization, and leadership skills.

    Head, Investment / Investment Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Head, Investment/Investment Manager will be responsible for the management of the organisation’s investment portfolio whilst ensuring optimal return on investment at minimal cost and risk exposure.
    • The successful candidate will ensure the liquidity and cash flow needs of the business are met in a cost effective and prudent manner.
    • The Investment Manager will report directly to the Managing Director/CEO and will supervise the Investment Officer.

    Job Description
    In fulfilling his or her responsibilities, the successful Candidate will:

    • Champion the articulation and development of plans, programs, and strategies to facilitate realization of departmental goals and objectives ensuring alignment with overall organisational strategies.
    • Work closely with the CFO to identify and recommend strategies for raising necessary funds to facilitate the realization of operational and corporate objectives.
    • Implement approved funding strategies ensuring minimal cost exposure to the Organisation.
    • Conduct cash forecasts and manage cash flows/cycles ensuring availability of adequate funds to meet daily operational requirements.
    • Oversee the disbursement of cash ensuring compliance with standard policies and procedures.
    • Liaise with appropriate personnel in the Asset Management division of the parent company and leverage existing structures and processes to ensure effective execution of tasks.
    • Periodically provide functional reports to the appropriate personnel of the parent company to ensure appropriate information dissemination within the group.
    • Participate/provide inputs in the review of the organisation’s bankers ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Keep abreast of changes and updates in macroeconomic policies and advice the Board and management on the implications on the business.
    • Implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the department.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership, and strategic direction to subordinates.
    • Monitor the activities of subordinates ensuring compliance with agreed performance standards.
    • Perform any other duties or serve in other roles as required by the GMD/CEO.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or other related discipline
    • Professional qualification in Accounting such as (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
    • An MBA is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of Six (6) years’ relevant work experience in Investment management
    • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Strong negotiation skill and ability to close deals that deliver long term benefits.
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in the use of computer particularly the Microsoft Office Suites.
