    Head, Business Development (Wealth Management)

    Overview

    • The Head of Business Development is responsible for maximizing client engagement by assessing, understanding, and identifying clients’ investment and wealth management needs and providing or arranging a wide array of wealth advice.
    • The Head BD coordinates the overall client strategy in close partnership with other professionals on the team to meet the investments, trust, risk management and planning needs of the client.

    Key Responsibilities
    Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

    • Lead client coverage for the affluent and HNI segment
    • Expand and deepen client relationships through proactive portfolio monitoring and engagement.
    • Drive new asset acquisition from both existing and prospective clients.

    Investment Advisory & Wealth Planning:

    • Translate client financial objectives into bespoke investment and wealth planning solutions across tax, legal, and estate planning.
    • Provide high-level consultative financial advice across the full range of investment products and services.
    • Conduct investment reviews with clients to validate objectives and recommend appropriate investment products.
    • Advise clients on their overall balance sheet including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, and credit needs.
    • Ensure proposed solutions address clients’ needs across short, medium, and long-term horizons through a holistic, goals-based planning approach.
    • Drive investment communication and thought leadership to clients across relevant market developments.

    Regulatory, Risk & Governance:

    • Ensure strict adherence to all risk, control, regulatory, and compliance requirements across all client engagements.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of 12 years’ direct sales experience in the Wealth Management sector
    • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, ACS, ACIBN) will be an added advantage
    • Demonstrated track record of consistent revenue growth, client acquisition, and overachievement within the affluent and HNI segment.
    • Strong established relationships across the Wealth Management industry with proven success engaging both financial and non-financial clients.
    • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to inspire, motivate, and deliver through teams.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

    • Deep expertise in wealth management, investment advisory, and portfolio planning.
    • Strong understanding of equity and fixed income markets, alternative investments, private equity, and real estate.
    • Proven ability to originate and grow high-value client relationships within the affluent and HNI segment.
    • Strong commercial judgement with a demonstrated track record of sales success and business development.
    • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong organisational discipline with a structured and methodical approach to client and portfolio management.
    • Analytical ability to translate client financial situations into appropriate wealth and investment solutions.
    • High ethical standards, strong governance mindset, and unwavering attention to detail.
    • Energetic and entrepreneurial business builder with the drive to excel in a competitive market.

    Legal Officer

    Overview

    • The Legal Officer provides essential legal support across the Group’s business units, ensuring all activities are conducted within a robust legal and regulatory framework.
    • The role involves drafting critical documentation, managing contract lifecycles, and supporting the Company Secretariat to maintain high standards of corporate governance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct first-level drafts and reviews of contracts, agreements and other legal documents under the supervision of the Legal Manager.
    • Provide legal support to the Group’s business units and support functions on day-to-day legal matters.
    • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda and advisory notes on regulatory, corporate and commercial matters.
    • Maintain and update the Legal Department’s contract database, litigation tracker, regulatory filing records, legal precedents and other departmental records.
    • Provide company secretarial support, including preparing Board and Committee papers, drafting resolutions, maintaining statutory registers and records, and making requisite regulatory filings, where required.
    • Monitor contractual obligations, key milestones and renewal dates, and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
    • Liaise with external solicitors, regulators and other stakeholders on assigned matters and monitor the progress of external legal engagements.
    • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Legal Managers or the Head, Legal Services.

    Job Requirements
    Qualification:

    • LL.B. from a recognised university and B.L. from the Nigerian Law School.
    • Qualified to practise as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

    Work Experience:

    • 1-2 years’ post-call experience, preferably in a reputable law firm or financial services organisation.
