    Hausa Teacher

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a passionate and competent Hausa Language Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Hausa language and culture, promoting language proficiency, and supporting learners’ linguistic and cultural development in line with the school’s curriculum and values.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach Hausa language (speaking, reading, and writing) effectively across assigned year groups.
    • Prepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learners’ needs.
    • Use engaging and learner-centred teaching strategies.
    • Assess, record, and report students’ progress accurately. Integrate Hausa culture, values, and traditions into lessons where appropriate.

    Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of NCE, B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc in Hausa or a related field.
    • Proven experience teaching Hausa at primary and/or secondary level is an advantage.
    • Strong command of spoken and written Hausa.
    • Good classroom management and communication skills.
    • Passion for teaching and working with young people.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

    School Accounts Officer

    Job Summary

    • The School Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the financial records of the school, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, compliance with financial policies, and effective support for the school’s administrative and academic operations. The role requires integrity, attention to detail, and sound financial judgment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Management & Record Keeping

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, cash books, and journals.
    • Process school fees, levies, and other income, ensuring proper documentation and receipting.
    • Manage petty cash and ensure proper authorization and accountability.
    • Prepare monthly, termly, and annual financial reports for management review.

    Budgeting & Planning

    • Assist in preparing the school’s annual budget.
    • Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

    Payments & Payroll

    • Prepare staff payroll, allowances, and statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, pensions).
    • Process payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Maintain proper records of invoices, vouchers, and payment approvals.

    Compliance & Controls

    • Ensure compliance with school financial policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
    • Implement basic internal control measures to safeguard school funds.

    School Operations Support

    • Work closely with the admissions and administrative teams on fee tracking and reconciliation.
    • Monitor outstanding fees and prepare periodic debtors’ reports.
    • Support financial planning for school projects, events, and programs.

    Confidentiality & Ethics

    • Handle all financial information with strict confidentiality.
    • Uphold high standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (ICAN, ANAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
    • At least 2–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance (school experience is an advantage).
    • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.

    CCA and Visual Arts

    Position Summary:

    • The CCA Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Cultural and Creative Arts that foster students’ creativity, cultural awareness, and appreciation of the arts. The teacher will integrate music, drama, and visual arts to provide a holistic learning experience that nurtures talents and self-expression.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
    • Teach components of CCA, including Music, Drama, Fine Arts, and Crafts, using innovative and hands-on methods.
    • Foster students’ creativity and critical thinking through practical and interactive projects.
    • Organize exhibitions, performances, and cultural events to showcase students’ work.
    • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
    • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports every learner.
    • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate CCA into interdisciplinary projects.
    • Promote appreciation of local and global arts, culture, and heritage.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school-wide activities.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Creative Arts, Music, Drama, or related field.
    • Teaching qualification and experience in delivering CCA at the required level.
    • Strong creative, artistic, and communication skills.
    • Ability to use low-cost materials and technology to enhance teaching.
    • Passion for arts and culture, with a commitment to developing students’ talents.
