    FSO Unity Marine Operations Superintendent

    Service Dimensions

    • POB of up to 140 persons on board the FSO and up to 2 x helicopter flights per day
    • Up to 1,500 tons of cargo / month to receive & dispatch
    • Up to 2 supply vessels, 2 terminal tugs and 2 crew boats operating around FSO
    • Up to 10 persons in Marine/Logistic/Stevedoring teams on FSO
    • Heavy Marine Activities on 3 x Producing fields within 20 Nm Radius of FSO.

    Activities

    • Offshore Marine Authority with oversight responsibility for marine activities within MEZ of offshore installations for OML 99, 100 and
    • 102
    • Responsible for all marine electronic surveillance aids installed on offshore installations within JVA offshore locations
    • Responsible for Materials Logistics arriving and leaving the FSO Unity.
    • Responsible for lifting operations of Deck Team, management of lay down area and bulk transfers
    • Manage personnel logistic for FSO and units linked to the FSO (e.g., Flotel)
    • Responsible for personnel movement from/to FPSO & Intra field (Helicopter, Fast Crew Boat)
    • Responsible for helideck equipment.
    • Responsible for marine activities on FPSO (Loading/unloading bulk, export crude oil, FPSO stability, SIMOPS activities involving naval
    • assets, monitoring of vessels and follow up of inspection/audit, advisor for extra naval activities like seismic or diving campaign)
    • Manage interface between marine and other disciplines (Production, Maintenance, Inspection, HSE, Security).
    • On site contract management, responsible for safe and efficient activity of Marine operations Service and Stevedoring personnel.
    • Oversees collision risk monitoring in defense of offshore installations in OML 99, 100 and 102.

    Context and Environment

    • Based on board of FSO Unity, Offshore Nigeria
    • Work Regime: 4 by 4-week rotation ,7 days/week,12 hours / day.

    Accountabilities

    • Ensure that technical Logistics provide a safe, cost effective and efficient service to Company assets
    • Multi-skill and teamwork is considered as a major target
    • Ensure that commercial aspects between T&S, commercial department and Nigerian authorities are properly and safely handled.

    Qualifications / Experience Required

    • Master Class 1 experience with a minimum of 3 years as Master or Senior officer on trading tanker and minimum 3 years’ experience in FPSO operations in a senior position linked to marine activities.
    • Trained and experienced in pilotage operations at export buoy or tandem
    • Completed a Bridge Resource management & ISPS training.
    • BOSIET/HUET equivalent for offshore survival and helicopter transport
    • Experience or training for lifeboat coxswain / small boat handling course
    • Experience in Helicopter operations.

    Marine Superintendent (OSV - TECHLOG)

    Service Scope
    Marine support to Company Offshore sites:

    • All Company offshore locations, Exploration activities, projects and other marine related activities as directed by the Marine Assurance Manager.
    • All watercraft of interest to Company (Construction vessels, MODU’s, OIMR, PSVs, AHT(S)/terminal tugs, security, Accommodation Vessels, Barges, crew boats work boats etc.)
    • Base and offices of vessel operators. Main Logistics sites : OML 99, 100, 102 and 130, Onne Port, in Port Harcourt or LILE Base in Lagos.
    • The Marine Superintendent assists the Marine Assurance Manager in providing expertise in the specialist field of marine engineering and operations in support of Company marine activities.

    Technical assistance:

    • Provide Marine expertise services as directed by the Marine Assurance Manager to all Company departments (GSR, Projects, ECP, Drilling, Production, General Services and HSE) concerning marine related activities.

    Marine Assurance:

    • Implement Affiliate Marine Assurance plan under direction of Marine Assurance Manager
    • Assist with all marine auditing and inspection requirements, which includes auditing all types of offshore support vessels and shore based technical support organizations.
    • Conduct OVID inspections in line with OCIMF protocol.
    • Implement Dynamic Positioning (DP) system assurance for DP vessels.
    • Implement Affiliate Marine fleet monitoring for HSE compliance and operational excellence through physical presence on board vessels while in service and in port.
    • Coaching contractor personnel to introduce and maintain best practices in their operations.

    Method:

    • Assist with the development of marine procedures.
    • Prepare and issue anomaly and incident reports.
    • Propose anomaly corrective actions and monitor implementation.
    • Provide technical feedback for Service Quality Meetings with Contractors.

    Context and Environment

    • Incumbent is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
    • Work regime: rotational 4 weeks on/4 weeks off (7 days per week)
    • Frequent movement (up to 80% of working time) between offshore sites, vessels, Onne port, LILE base and various vessel operator shore based technical support bases.

    Qualifications / Experience Required

    • Class 1 Master or Chief Engineer certificate (STCW95) for seagoing offshore support vessels or MODU’s
    • 5 years’ experience as Chief Officer/Captain or 2nd Engineer/Chief Engineer on Offshore Vessels (AHTS, PSV, IMR) with DPO or DP technicians’ certificate.
    • Hold valid OVID inspector accreditation.
    • Proven record of achievement within marine operations.

    Languages:

    • Fluent in spoken and written English.
