    Supply Chain Cost Accountant

    Purpose

    • To manage and analyse the costs associated with supply chain operations. It involves working closely with the Procurement, Logistic and Finance teams to ensure cost efficiency and effective financial planning.

    The Job

    • Analyse and report on supply costs, including raw material procurement, warehousing and logistics.
    • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate cost tracking an reporting.
    • Evaluate import parity and export parity to optimize raw material sourcing and sales strategies.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
    • Implement and maintain cost control measures to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
    • Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory costs.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • BSc in Accounting/Finance or any related discipline.
    • Membership of ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, etc. is an added advantage.
    • 5 years’ cognate experience in cost accounting, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.

    The Person Must:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with the entire supply chain process, from raw materials to finished goods, including logistics, transportation, and warehousing. 
    • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify cost savings opportunities and make informed decisions.
    • Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate data and reports.

    Internal Compliance Officer

    Purpose

    • Will assist in ensuring effective and efficient internal controls within PEOPL by identifying risks and control gaps, reporting findings, and developing mitigation measures to enhance compliance with regulatory and organisational policies.

    The Job

    • Identify, assess, and document potential risks to PEOPL’s operations.
    • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining internal control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
    • Collaborate with the Group BA internal auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes, providing necessary documentation and information during routine reviews.
    • Monitor compliance across business units, ensuring adherence to internal policies and group regulations.
    • Report non-compliance issues to the General Manager through the Internal Control Manager.
    • Act as a link between various units within PEOPL and the Group BA, ensuring accurate and timely submission of audit-related information.
    • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation and closure of identified gaps.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • B.Sc. / HND in Accounting or related field.
    • Professional Qualification and Membership will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of  3 years’ cognate experience.

    The Person Must:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Be proactive and able to take initiative in monitoring compliance and follow-up.
    • Possesses strong organisational and time management skills.

    Solvent Extraction Assistant Operator

    Purpose

    • To optimally extract oil from Prepared soybean material with good quality and productivity.

    The Job

    • Periodically inspect the flowrate of Miscella and the hexane pump
    • Periodically check the level of the full miscella compartment
    • Records indicator reading test results from the quality control
    • Cleaning the equipment and environment
    • Assist in the routine maintenance of the plant
    • Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of duty by adhering strictly to safety ethics of the company
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
    • Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process

    Qualifications and Experience

    • OND in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of one year's cognate experience

    The Person Must:

    • Have strong communication and presentation abilities.
    • Have a strong understanding of chemical processes.
    • Have prior experience in industrial operations.
    • Have safety training and technical knowledge.
