    Food & Beverages Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitors present and future trends, practices and systems in the food & beverage industry to ensure that the hotel’s food & beverage operations are competitive in the market place.
    • Conducts weekly inspections of the food & beverage regions to ensure the property and FF&E are kept in the best condition, and recommends preventive maintenance to the General Manager where needed.
    • Participates in development of recognition programs for staff, advertising and promotional programs and campaigns to increase market awareness and penetration.
    • Randomly inspects all food & beverage regions on a daily basis to ensure facilities and equipment are clean, well maintained and replaced if necessary.
    • Checks the food & beverage outlets’ reservation lists, hotel arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list to ensure that own staff is aware of VIP guests.
    • Is proficient in all food & beverage procedures to be a resource when needed.
    • Taking stock and inventory.
    • Challenges employees within department to achieve optimum food cost percentage and service per employee.
    • Controls and analyses departmental costs on an ongoing basis; takes action to control negative deviation.
    • Monitors food & beverage sales regarding discounts.
    • Audits food & beverage services and quality on a regular basis and develops and implements strategies to improve results.
    • Plans and co-ordinates in-house activities and package plans with Executive Chef.
    • Direct and Manage Food & Beverage Department to Achieve Food & Beverage Goals
    • Utilizes leadership skills and motivation to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.
    • Monitors hotel’s overall service and team work daily, and makes recommendations for improvement to Department Heads.
    • Selects and develops strategies to improve guest service, food production techniques and efficiency.
    • Analyses financial reports relating to food & beverage, and takes corrective action and follow-up.
    • Achieves goals for “willingness to return”, “customer complaints per thousand” and “customer comment index”
    • Manages and co-ordinates pricing and preparation of menus, beverages, and wine lists by taking the following into consideration.

    Requirements

    • He or she should possess B.Sc or HND in any discipline and must have worked as Food & Beverages Manager in a reputable hotel with a working experience of 3 - 8 years which will be an added advantage.

    Gym Instructor

    Job Description
    Demonstrate how to carry out various exercises and routines:

    • Watch clients do exercises and show or tell them correct techniques to minimize injury and improve fitness.
    • Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations on sports, recreational activities and the use of exercise equipment.
    • Give clients information or resources about nutrition, weight control and life issues.
    • Knowledgeable of hotel facilities and services to answer guest inquiries.
    • Monitors clients progress and adapt programs as needed.
    • Willing to take ownership of all guest request and complaints, try to resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest satisfaction.
    • Ensuring cleanliness, setting up and safety of the Fitness area and facilities.
    • Identify and report defects throughout the Fitness area, notify supervisors and concerned department of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affects the operations
    • Knowledge and principles of resuscitation, First Aid and CPR/PR techniques.
    • Give alternative exercise during work outs or classes for different levels of fitness and skill.
    • Properly utilize performance feedback, recognition, training, and adherence to company policies and legal requirement.
    • Work closely with other departments that are essential to ensuring a positive guest experience.
    • Ensure that all site literature is readily available and displays are updated regularly.

    Security, Health and Safety:

    • Ensures that Fitness Equipment quality meets state standards
    • Maintain high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy
    • Notifies the Front Office Manager and Manager on duty regarding lost and found objects
    • Reports all potential and real hazards appropriately
    • Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures
    • Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
    • Work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
    • Application of hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Interested applicant should possess a B.Sc or HND in any related discipline and must worked as a Gym Instructor in an hotel which will be an added advantage or a Private Gym Fitness club.
    • 2 - 8 years work experience.

    Gardener

    Job Description

    • Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation and planting.
    • The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery.
    • The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers.
    • Adjustmentsof mower height and quality of cut, etc.
    • Oillevel checks and check for damage to any mower.
    • Report equipment malfunctions to engineering as and when noticed.
    • To be aware of Health andSafetyrequirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.
    • To ensure all equipment, machinery are stored securely and clean after use.
    • Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns.

    Minimum Requirements

    • The qualified applicant should possess an SSCE and must have worked as a Gardener either in an hotel or a private resident or organization before.
    • 2 - 8 years work experience.
