    Finance Operations Lead

    Role Summary

    • The Finance Operations Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily finance operations activities within the accounting department.
    • The role ensures that financial transactions are processed accurately, reconciliations are completed on time, and financial documentation is maintained in line with established financial procedures and internal controls.
    • The role also provides operational leadership to junior finance operations staff, ensuring efficient execution of finance processes and maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

    KeyResponsibilities
    Finance Operations Oversight:

    • Coordinate and supervise day-to-day finance operations activities within the unit.
    • Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and within approved timelines.
    • Monitor finance operations workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency.

    Transaction Review & Financial Controls:

    • Review financial transactions processed by finance operations staff for accuracy and completeness.
    • Ensure all transactions are supported by proper documentation and approvals.
    • Maintain compliance with financial policies and internal control procedures.

    Bank & Account Reconciliation Oversight:

    • Oversee preparation of bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
    • Review reconciliation reports prepared by team members.
    • Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies in financial records.

    Financial Documentation & Record Management:

    • Ensure all financial documentation is properly maintained and stored.
    • Maintain organized records for finance operations activities to support internal audits and financial reviews.

    Operational Reporting:

    • Prepare operational finance reports and summaries for management review.
    • Track finance operations activities and report on operational performance metrics.

    Team Supervision & Support:

    • Provide guidance and supervision to finance operations trainees, officers, and senior officers.
    • Support training and development of junior finance operations staff.
    • Ensure team members adhere to established finance operations procedures.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve finance operations processes and workflows.
    • Support the implementation of automation, improved documentation processes, and operational efficiency initiatives.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or ongoing Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline
    • Demonstrated experience in financial transaction management, reconciliations, and operational finance supervision
    • Strong knowledge of finance operations and accounting procedures
    • Experience performing and reviewing bank and account reconciliations
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support roles.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
    • Basic understanding or proficiency in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office Tools.
    • Strong communication, positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and open to feedback.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Time management. Willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines
    • Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality with the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

    Customer Service & Contact Centre Lead

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Requirement: Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in any relevant field.

    Work Experience:

    • A minimum of 4 years of continuous experience in customer service or contact centre management, with at least 2 years at a supervisory or team lead level.
    • Demonstrated experience in lending, microfinance, or a related financial services environment is a mandatory requirement.

    Knowledge:

    • Working knowledge of lending products, borrower onboarding processes, repayment structures, and early-stage delinquency indicators.
    • Understanding of customer data handling obligations and the importance of accurate CRM record-keeping in a regulated lending environment.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Minimum Standard: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence handling borrower complaints, repayment conversations, and escalations professionally and without escalating tension.
    • Developmental Maximum: Ability to interpret contact centre performance data, identify conversion pattern trends, and recommend campaign adjustments to the Head of Sales & Marketing based on field intelligence.

    Personality and Motivation:

    • Thrives in a target-driven environment that combines service accountability with commercial output. Comfortable being measured on both simultaneously.
    • Resilient, organized, and motivated by tangible results. Finds satisfaction in building a high-performing team and watching conversion rates move.

    Circumstances:

    • Based on-site at the Igbo Efon, Lekki office. Lagos-based candidates should factor commute time when applying. This role is fully on-site.

    Competencies and Behaviours:

    • Accountability: Owns team performance numbers without deflection. When a target is missed, the response is a diagnosis and a plan, not an explanation.
    • Commercial Awareness: Understands that the contact center is a revenue channel, not just a support function. Every call is an opportunity.
    • Process Discipline: Maintains CRM accuracy, reporting cadence, and escalation protocols consistently, even under volume pressure.
