    Finance Manager

    Job Description

    • Ensure the effective running of day-to-day activities of the Accounts/finance department
    • Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
    • Managing the financial reporting for the organization. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and all statutory financial reporting
    • Ensure that financial reports comply with the International Financial reporting standard (IFRS)
    • Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the organization to make critical business decisions
    • Review and monitoring of operation expenses.
    • Presentation of financial results and insights
    • Handling tax matters, tax planning and other regulatory compliance

    ·         Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards

    • Managing and overseeing the company’s banking and borrowing arrangements
    • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
    • Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
    • Managing and tracking budget and performance review
    • Reviewing all formal finance policies and procedures
    • Manage relationships with regulatory and statutory bodies, i.e. LIRS, FIRS, etc
    • Keeping abreast of new development in reporting, tax and other regulatory requirement to ensure compliance

    Qualification 

    • BSC/HND in Accounting or business related field
    •  Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA)
    •  Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role

    Skills and Attribute

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office( word, excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software such as QuickBooks etc
    • Experience in capital financing(forex) sourcing and management
    • Experience in power/energy/oil and gas industry is essential
    • Good knowledge of treasury functions, forex management, letter of credit is required
    • Must be conversant with domestic and international accounting reporting requirement
    • Must be conversant with relevant tax law and principles
    • Ability to work independently without supervision

    Senior Import Documentation Lead

    Job description

    • Opening of form M/ LC application for import
    • Process import documentation and processing of permit such as SON, import permit, SON product certificate, SONCAP,NESREA permit, NAFDAC import permit
    • Coordinate application for import duty exemption certificate ( IDEC)  and certificate of capital importation( CCI); especially importation of goods from China.
    • Classifying goods to tariff coding system and calculating import duty and tax payable in advance.
    • Liaise with accredited agent for clearing of goods at destination ports, customs etc.
    • Timely order execution and documentation of pre and post shipping documents
    • Obtain marine insurance
    • Liaising with Port authorities & customs officials, monitoring compliance to regulatory requirements, and maintaining requisite papers & documents.

    Competence

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Degree.
    • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in Transport, logistics and supply in Nigeria with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
    • Experience in power/energy sector a distinct advantage
    • Proficiency in international documentation, LC, Shipping processes, bill of lading.
    • Must have Operational knowledge of the ports and government agencies.
    • Must have knowledge of proper clearing and haulage documentation for imports.
    • Must have appropriate knowledge of inspection agents, Banks, shipping companies, and Terminals.
    • Must have the ability to handle customs and shipping companies for imports, temporary importation, and Exports.
    • Must have knowledge of the customs and Excise HS Code and Explanatory notes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
    • Ability to work independently without supervision
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
