    Finance Manager

    About the job

    • Adexen has been entrusted by a leading international beverage can manufacturer to recruit a seasoned Finance Manager. This role is based in Agbara/Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • Full responsibility for the company’s accounting function,
    • Ensuring all accounting functions are performed in accordance with group policy and financial principles,
    • Ensuring compliance with Nigerian financial regulations,
    • Manage relationship with the company auditors and banks,
    • Manage the payroll in conjunction with the Human Resources department,
    • Financial forecasts, monthly and annual reports and management accounts,
    • Preparation of the annual budget for presentation to senior management,
    • Supervision of annual financial audit,
    • Control of the company IT infrastructure and ERP system,
    • Ensuring all assets of the business are securely controlled and correctly valued,
    • Performing all responsibilities required of a member of the management team and support senior management in its efforts to improve the business performance,
    • Interfacing with suppliers, customers and all staff to promote the interests of the business.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Have a B Comm CA(SA) or equivalent qualification,
    • Have at least 5 years experience in a related management position,
    • Previous expatriate experience would be an advantage,
    • Be highly computer literate in MS Office,
    • Experience on an ERP system, SAP would be an advantage,
    • Have strong analytical, planning and organisational skills,
    • Have the ability to function effectively in a team environment,
    • Have the ability to communicate effectively with senior management,
    • Have strong people management skills,
    • Be deadline driven and be able to work under pressure.

    Group Chief Risk Officer

    About the job

    • Adexen was mandated by a multinational organization to recruit an experienced Group Chief Risk Officer. The position is based in Lagos.

    Responsibilities

    Risk Strategy and Governance

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) framework tailored to the Group's industrial and operational landscape.
    • Lead the integration of risk management into strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Define and communicate the organization's risk appetite and tolerance levels in collaboration with the Board and Executive Leadership Team.

    Industrial Risk Management

    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks across the Group’s industries, including manufacturing and oil and gas,
    • Design risk mitigation strategies for operational, environmental, safety, compliance, and supply chain risks specific to industrial operations.
    • Ensure the implementation of robust safety, environmental, and operational risk controls across all business units.

    Risk Assessment and Reporting

    • Lead risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate potential impacts on financial, operational, and reputational aspects of the business.
    • Prepare and present risk management reports to the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and relevant stakeholders.
    • Monitor emerging risks and provide insights and recommendations to proactively address potential threats.

    Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

    • Ensure adherence to applicable industry standards, environmental regulations, and legal requirements across jurisdictions of operation.
    • Develop and oversee compliance audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

    Team Leadership and Collaboration

    • Lead a high-performing, cross-functional risk management team.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business unit leaders, auditors, insurers, and regulators, to ensure cohesive risk management practices.
    • Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the Group.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Educational Background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
    • Professional Certifications
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP), or equivalent are highly desirable.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in risk management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Strong background in managing industrial risks within large, complex organizations, particularly in oil and gas, or manufacturing sectors.
    • Proven experience in implementing enterprise risk management frameworks and driving organizational change.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Deep understanding of operational, environmental, and compliance risks in industrial settings.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address risks proactively.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, including board-level reporting.

    Electrical Design Engineer

    Job Introduction

    • Adexen has been mandated by a leading HVAC solutions provider in Nigeria to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Abuja. 

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC projects in compliance with local and international codes and standards.
    • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
    • Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, circuit protection, and lighting designs for projects.
    • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies to meet design specifications and project requirements.
    • Support site installation teams by providing technical direction and troubleshooting electrical issues during implementation.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during design and execution phases.
    • Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and inspections as needed.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical design, preferably within the HVAC or building services sector.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), or other electrical design tools.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian electrical codes and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.
    • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
