We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Service Engineer (Rigger) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, rigging at height, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and customer sites.
The role involves configuring network hardware, resolving connectivity issues in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and conducting RF site surveys. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the flexibility to travel to various locations.
Job Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration: Install and configure ISP network equipment, including routers, switches, fiber modems, and wireless/microwave radios (e.g., Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Cambium, etc).
Safety and Compliance: Conduct safety checks and risk assessments, ability to work at height (climbing of tower and mast), adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection gear
Troubleshooting: Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs for network outages, signal degradation, or hardware failures.
Maintenance: Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure and customer sites.
Site Surveys: Conduct RF (Radio Frequency) site surveys to determine line-of-sight (LOS) and technical requirements for installations.
Customer Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing on-site support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure high satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation, configuration, repairs, and site visits.
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
1–3 years’ experience in ICT/ISP environment.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, VLANs, routing, and switching.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA) preferred; tower climbing certification is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work at heights, travel frequently, and work flexible hours.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate achievements in IT-based solutions and managed services across the various sectors.
The Candidate should also showcase an ability to work with minimum supervision while maintaining a high level of performance by identifying leads and opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Must be able to support, when called on, by other members of the sales team for new business acquisition.
Ability to utilize the ISN Marketing portfolio to initiate and manage new sales avenues as well as design and promote custom solutions.
Expected to make regular visits to potential and existing customers, identify new opportunities as well as secure referrals.
Achieving company’s revenue objectives.
Requirements
3 or more years previous Account Sales Management/ Business Development experience
Notable hands on experience only in ICT/Telecoms/ISP Industry
Good Knowledge of IT Solutions
Highly motivated and self driven individual
Other Tech qualifications are an advantage.
Core Competencies:
Sound knowledge in sale of Internet Connectivity (corporate & residential)
Vast knowledge of Other IT Solution sales such as
