    English Teacher (Secondary)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach English Language across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, BECE, WAEC, and NECO classes as applicable.
    • Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations.
    • Develop students' proficiency in grammar, writing, comprehension, literature appreciation, public speaking, and critical thinking.
    • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with both British and Nigerian curriculum standards.
    • Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
    • Integrate educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
    • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, Linguistics, Literature in English, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience at the secondary school level.
    • Demonstrated experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, Checkpoint, IGCSE, or equivalent examinations.
    • Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills.
    • Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
    • Must be highly tech savvy with proven competence in educational technology, digital assessment tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, interactive classroom technologies, and AI-supported instructional tools.
    • TRCN certification and postgraduate qualifications are added advantages.

    English Language Teacher (Primary)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging English Language lessons to primary school pupils.
    • Develop pupils' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and comprehension skills.
    • Foster a love for literacy through creative and interactive teaching approaches.
    • Plan lessons in line with the British and Nigerian curricula.
    • Assess pupil progress and provide timely feedback to pupils and parents.
    • Effectively integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
    • Create a stimulating, inclusive, and learner-centred environment.
    • Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programmes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable primary school.
    • Sound knowledge of the British and Nigerian primary curricula.
    • Strong phonics, literacy, and language development skills.
    • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    • Must be highly tech savvy and proficient in the use of educational technology, digital learning platforms, interactive boards, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and AI-enhanced teaching tools.
    • TRCN certification or relevant teaching qualification is an added advantage.
