    Engineer, Network Operations Centre

    Department: Technical
    Division: NOC
    Unit: Network Operations
    Grade Level: NA
    Reports to: Manager, Network Operations
    Supervises: Nil

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Escalation and management of network faults.
    • Supporting and following up on the execution of Work Orders and Change Requests.
    • Providing technical support to the field teams.
    • 24x7 Monitoring, Supervision and Reporting.
    • Liaising with Customer Teams to resolve Network Outages
    • Liaising with equipment vendors and other service providers regarding outages on leased and interconnect lines.
    • Assists in providing reports for service outages and recommended follow up actions.
    • Review Trouble Ticket reports against Service Level Agreements and recommend follow up actions.
    • Support in providing Major Service outage investigations and follow up
    • Assist in the coordination and control of all the Trouble Tickets raised in the network.

    Education And Experience

    • First degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
    • Two(2) years post NYSC relevant experience

    Engineer, Field Operations

    Reports to: Manager, Field Operations

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Install, Operate and Maintain Radio, Transmission and power element to achieve network availability targets
    • Track and new change implementation , faults escalation, fault resolution and ensure TTs are accurately closed within MTTR
    • Conduct acceptance of new site, MW, VSATs and power installations according to scope and BoQ. within assigned cluster
    • Maintain accurate sites database within assign cluster (with detail information)
    • Monitor vendor to execute monthly routine and corrective maintenance schedule for all active and passive elements on site
    • Conduct monthly sites supervision, spot check, external alarm simulations and cheek mate vendor team activity to enhance Quality of Service and improve customer experience effectively ensure non-functional alarms are corrected before next visit
    • Follow up with both active and passive vendors to ensure re-occurrence outages are cleared within assigned cluster
    • Liaise with Government/Local agencies. to resolve environmental, regulatory, states, local government, landlord and community issues within 48 hours and follow up for permanent solution
    • Follow up for timely replacement of faulty components on base stations, Transmission and Power equipment, weekly link assessment/alignment for MW & VSAT links with deviated RSL as well as replacement of faulty components to reduce MTTR
    • Supervise timely Capex replacement for sites
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Field Operations

    Education and Experience

    • First degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or similar Engineering
    • Two(2) years post NYSC relevant experience
