Electrical Engineer (Design & Supervision) at AIM Consultants

Role Description

• The Electrical Engineer (Design & Supervision) is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, Nigeria. The role involves developing electrical designs and layouts for building and infrastructure projects, including power distribution and lighting systems, in compliance with local and international standards. The engineer will prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations, and review contractor designs and shop drawings for accuracy and feasibility.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, Electricity, and Power Systems, with the ability to apply core principles across building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Power Distribution, including preparation of detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be COREN registered
• Experience in design, design review and on-site supervision of electrical installations, preferably within consultancy industry.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations, and capability to ensure compliance on all project sites.
• Competence in using design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools) and basic power system analysis tools.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to document findings and prepare clear technical reports.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
