    Document Control Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Document Control Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
    • This role is crucial in facilitating effective communication, safeguarding document integrity, and supporting construction and oil & gas operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for project documentation and control in accordance with the document control requirements.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with company and industry standards, including ISO, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
    • Supporting and maintaining data management and data processing.
    • Manage document filing and retrieval system for reports, correspondence, logs, maps, and figures.
    • Generate an electronic weekly MDR (Master Deliverable Register) and weekly outstanding user to-do-list record for information to all personnel.
    • Performs electronic file backup monthly (backup in project server).
    • Handling Construction and QA/QC transmittal for incoming and outgoing, such as JMS (Job Method Statement), JHA (Job Hazard Analysis), FCS (Field Change Sheet), Request for Inspection (RFI), Non-Conformance Report (NCR), etc.
    • Record and administer technical drawings NCR/SN, inspection records, specifications progress, vendor documents, final documentations, procedures, etc. Organize, store, and manage project documents (e.g., drawings, contracts, reports, permits).
    • Maintain accurate records of document flow and retrieval.
    • Ensure the proper versioning and approval of documents.
    • Provide advisory/training to Project team if any difficulty in using EDMS.
    • Perform regular audits to ensure document accuracy and completeness.
    • Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate the exchange of information and documentation.
    • Support project teams by providing quick access to required documents.
    • Monitor deadlines for document submission, approvals, and reviews.
    • Generate regular reports on document status and compliance.
    • Use document control software and tools for efficient storage and retrieval.
    • Train team members on document control systems and best practices.
    • protect sensitive information by enforcing strict access controls.
    • Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are in place for critical documentation.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Construction Management, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • 6+ years in document control, preferably in the construction or oil & gas sector.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in document control software (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Procore).
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Civil / Building Engineer

    Job Description

    • Participate in construction/engineering operations and supervision activities with strict adherence to plans.
    • Undertake tasks related to specific areas of technical expertise or responsibility with a high level of professionalism.
    • Ensure the use of appropriate methodologies, systems, and techniques in the performance of the job with strict compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Ensure quality, adequacy, and appropriateness of materials and equipment used for all works to ensure an acceptable standard of delivery.
    • Produce and/or review drawings, including working drawings, shop drawings, and drawings for temporary works, and recommend appropriate modifications as necessary.
    • Review designs, technical specifications, relevant calculations, costs, and quantities to assist decision-making.
    • Carry out and/or supervise field tests, laboratory tests, and other tests to achieve QA/QC objectives.
    • Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of data gathered from investigations for sound engineering inferences and conclusions.
    • Supervise the works carried out by contractors, identify inconsistencies, and suggest reasonable corrective measures where necessary.
    • Provide timely reports of work and progress including ensuring all requisite documentation is maintained.
    • Work as part of (and coordinate own work) with a multidisciplinary team to achieve common objectives.
    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making always regarding the company’s resources and adhere to the code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
    • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the field area of responsibility.
    • Promote the company’s values and philosophy in the performance of your services.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

    Required Qualifications and person specification

    • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering or closely related disciplines.
    • 10+ years experience in engineering, civil, and infrastructure works and designs. (Experience working on factory and office building
    • Expertise in construction of factory and office building
    • Most be a resident of Kogi State, preferably the native speaker of Ebira,Okun, Bassa Nge,Ogori or any of the minority tribefor equity and be 40years plus.
    • Possession of relevant professional license,
    • Proficiency in use of relevant engineering software, tools and equipment to deliver high quality error-free work.
    • Strong working knowledge of relevant constructions/engineering laws, codes, regulations and documentation requirements
    • Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles.
    • Certification in project management is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in the use of BIM 360 Autodesk, Primavera, or related project management applications.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to apply technical knowledge.
    • Ability to learn new techniques, follow established procedures, and work independently or with little supervision.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across different levels as well as to effectively and professionally express ideas to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
    • Effective self-leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to work with tight or varying schedules and deliver within timelines.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules.
    • Willingness to travel or relocate in response to project needs.
