Database Engineer

Responsibilities
- Database Administration & Operations
- Database Performance Optimization
- Database High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Database Security & Compliance
- Data Integrity & Reliability
- Cloud Database Management
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of database engineering/administration experience.
- Bsc computer science/engineering or any related field.
- Experience managing production databases supporting financial or transactional applications.
- Database monitoring and alerting, disaster recovery planning and testing, data migration and schema versioning.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, replication, clustering, and high availability.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, data encryption, and audit logging.
- Experience supporting systems processing thousands to millions of transactions monthly.
- At least 2–5 years supporting high-volume fintech, banking, payments, telecommunications, or e-commerce platforms.
