    Data Management Associate

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out regular and timely updates of product information and content on the website
    • Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
    • Collaborate with co-QC team members to meet internal quality levels for website activity and management daily
    • Review and treat all menu creation requests.
    • Provide reports on trends, escalations and improvements
    • Supervise and manage visibility of the created menu requests
    • Suggest processes aimed toward the improvement of content for customer satisfaction
    • Manage all PDPs & LPs on current and future campaigns – Product Names, Filters, Categories, and Images (including stickers for TKB and groceries)
    • Ensure naming guidelines compliance for all top (and sensitive) categories (Phones & Tablets, Computing, Diapers, Groceries, Home & Office)
    • Brand Management: Manage brand creation requests, validations, and permissions
    • Category Management: Manage Category Activations, Deactivation, Renaming, Translations and Category Creation Follow-up and Re-categorization / mass category updates wrongly categorized products
    • Attribute Management: Manage Size Creations, Filter updates, Attribute Deactivation & Activation
    • Market Place Grouping(MPG)/Deduplication: Manage generated MPG Uploads and Requests
    • Product Grouping: Manage requests for grouping the same products with unique attributes for the same vendor
    • Tag Management: Manage campaign tag requests for products
    • Settings: Manage Basic Content Settings needed on BOB and SellerCenter
    • SKU Migration: Carryout migrations from BOB to SC or from one shop to another on Sellercenter (SC > SC)
    • Product Crawling & Creation: Manage crawling requests from external websites.
    • Visibility/Sync/Issues Resolution: Troubleshoot and Follow up with basic issues related to data and sync on BOB & Sellercenter
    • Seller Management: Manage Seller's data on Sellercenter for issues with items not live, or not appearing on QC Page
    • Retail SKU Creation: Manage requests for product creations on BOB for retail items.

    This Individual Should Have Qualifications As Listed Below

    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft word
    • Basic Excel and Data Management skill
    • Great Attention to details: the ability to maintain accuracy despite the repetitive nature of the tasks
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Good interactive skill

    Qualification & Experience

    • A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, Statistics or related course from a recognized and accredited University.
    • Basic Knowledge of Web Programming Languages (HTML, CSS, PHP) & Web Technology is compulsory
    • Experience in Data Management/ Data Analysis is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of one year relevant experience in Content Writing or similar job role within a fast paced organization.
    • Adequate knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the E-commerce Industry

    Legal Counsel (Financial Services)

    Job Description

    • As Legal Counsel (Financial Services) for Jumia (West Africa), you will manage all legal and regulatory matters relating to the company’s payments business in West Africa (Nigeria and any other countries in the region) as well as support the company’s finance operations and treasury teams on intercompany cash flows and cross-border payment issues.
    • At times, you will also support strategic projects in other Jumia countries of operation as and when necessary.
    • The ideal candidate will come from “start-up” like environments in digital payments or the financial services industry, be result-oriented, and a clear communicator with a solid background in banking, payments or the fintech space. The role is located in Lagos, Nigeria with possible travel to other markets as and when required. 

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as main point of contact to the local business team for all legal and regulatory matters in respect of the company’s affairs in West Africa including but not limited to contract drafting and review, general legal advisory, product risk reviews and company secretarial matters
    • Master a deep understanding of the rules and regulations governing the West African market in which we operate, including monitoring of any changes and developments and maintaining active relationships with regulatory counterparts
    • Work closely with the company’s risk, business, finance, regulatory, compliance, product, sales, and other teams to understand and appropriately resolve legal, regulatory and other related risks in supporting the company’s business
    • Manage external counsel in West Africa, and occasionally in other markets, to drive the business goals of the company
    • Support internal, external audits or local regulatory examinations in the West African market
    • Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice on core company initiatives that drive the company’s mission forward

    Requirements

    • 5 - 10 years of experience as a qualified lawyer working on complex regulatory or technology matters, preferably in payments or financial services
    • A broad legal knowledge that enables you to spot and resolve a variety of legal issues (e.g., regulatory, contract, IP, data privacy, employment, consumer protection, risk), and an ability to distill complexity and to identify and clearly communicate practical, risk-based solutions 
    • You must be a strong self-starter and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with priorities that frequently change and occasionally compete
    • You must be a great communicator and solid project manager, able to effectively prioritize and advance a large number of matters, often on tight deadlines
    • You must be able to work independently to drive execution on business objectives and with teammates across various jurisdictions
    • Experience with banking and financial services laws and regulations, payments and card network rules
    • Experience advising startups on structuring their products and services
    • Compliance experience or experience partnering with compliance and risk teams
    • Experience working at a PSP or mobile money platform and on matters relating to fintech in general is desirable
