    Senior Associate, People Business Partner (Maternity Leave Cover)

    The Role: 

    As a Senior Associate, People Business Partner at Flutterwave as part of the People & Culture team, you will play a pivotal role in aligning our people strategies with the overall business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor to our business leaders, providing strategic and operational HR support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

    Please note this is a temporary maternity leave cover. There is no guarantee this will result in a permanent role

    What Your Day-to-Day Activities will Include, but are not limited to: 

    Business Partnering:

    • Build strong relationships with business leaders and act as a trusted advisor on all HR-related matters.
    • Understand the business goals and provide strategic HR insights and solutions.

    Talent Acquisition:

    • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment strategies and practices.
    • Participate in interviews and selection processes for key positions.

    Performance Management:

    • Partner with managers to develop and implement performance management processes including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.
    • Provide guidance on performance feedback, coaching managers on providing constructive feedback and recognition, and development plans.

    Employee Relations:

    • Handle managing employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
    • Conduct investigations and facilitate resolution of workplace conflicts.
    • Support the maintenance of a positive and inclusive work environment.

    Learning and Development:

    • Identify training and development needs within the organization and assist in planning and coordinating relevant programs.
    • Support the design and implementation of learning initiatives.
    • Monitor and track employee development progress.

    Change Management:

    • Assist in managing organizational change and transformation initiatives.
    • Support communication and implementation of changes.

    People Policy and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
    • Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends.

    HR Support:

    • Assist in the implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
    • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR-related matters.

    Data and Reporting:

    • Compile HR data and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.

    Administration:

    • Contributes to the improvement of Operational Efficiency within the teams by providing organizational support.
    • Supports the implementation of HR processes throughout the employee life cycle in a seamless manner.
    • Ensure that HR processes are simplified and administered efficiently.
    • Providing user support for HRIS as required
    • Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign and exhibit broader understanding of HR process/policies/guidelines.

    Required competency and skillset to be a waver:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in HR roles, with a focus on business partnering.
    • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Experience supporting Tech teams is mandatory for one of the roles
    • Knowledge of financial services and payment solution industry is critical

    Senior Manager, Risk Project Management

    The Role: 

    Flutterwave is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Senior Manager, Risk Project Management Office (PMO). The Senior Manager, Risk PMO will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the risk management processes and initiatives within the organization. This individual will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of risk management strategies and projects, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success and growth.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all areas of the organization.
    • Establish and maintain robust risk reporting mechanisms, including dashboards, metrics, and key risk indicators (KRIs), to provide timely and accurate insights into the company's risk profile
    • Coordinate and facilitate risk assessments, scenario analyses, and stress testing exercises to evaluate the potential impact of risks on the organization and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate identified risks
    • Lead and manage an associate, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective project delivery and adherence to established risk management standards.
    • Partner with senior leadership, business units, and other key stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify potential risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project performance, milestones, and key metrics.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk PMO, leveraging best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies to enhance risk management processes and capabilities.
    • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks in the fintech sector, proactively advising senior management on potential implications and required actions.
    • Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, legal, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment and integration of risk management activities across the organization.
    • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Required competency and skillset to be a waver:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in risk management project management, or a related field within the fintech or financial services industry; previous leadership experience required.
    • Minimum 2 years of people management experience
    • Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies and processes.
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated experience driving results in a matrixed organizational structure, with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights from complex data sets to support decision-making and risk assessment.
    • Proficiency in risk management tools and technologies, including risk analytics software, data visualization tools, and project management platforms.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, PMP) preferred.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial industry

    Associate, Reconciliations

    The Role: 

    We’re looking for an Associate, Reconciliations to join the Global Operations team to ensure that our payment commitments are delivered on-time to our merchants. 

    The right candidate for this role will play a critical role in enabling the realization of this opportunity and simultaneously ensuring optimal validation of balances and the reasonableness of each of the accounts that Flutterwave uses for its transactions.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Conduct reconciliation on financial records across all payment methods (collections and payouts) - examine the money coming in and going out of the organisation and make sure it is recorded and processed correctly
    • Identify discrepancies and investigate discrepancies or errors that arise during the reconciliation process, determining their root causes and working to resolve them
    • Research and analyse financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues that require further investigation.
    • Prepare and present reports summarising the results of reconciliations, identifying any issues or discrepancies and recommending actions to address them.
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that financial data is accurate and consistent across all areas of the business.
    • Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations performed, ensuring that they are properly documented and filed for future reference.
    • Work closely with Flutterwave partners and internal teams to resolve issues.

    Required competency and skillset to be a waver

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
    • Minimum of 3 years working experience in internal/external auditing or reconciliations
