    Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)

    Job Summary

    • The Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) will provide essential primary healthcare services, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and basic medical care to individuals and families within the community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Check and record patients’ vital signs such as, weight, height, blood pressure, temperature and respiration rate
    • Assist to improve patient adherence to treatment regimens.
    • Assist the Nursing officer in providing basic medical and preventive care.
    • Assist in providing care for patients requiring nutrition, mental health, and prenatal care.
    • Maintain highest standard of health education of client.
    • Record patient information in computerized logs.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Diploma in Community Health from a recognized institution.
    • Must be a certified CHEW with a valid license from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a primary healthcare or community setting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team.
    • Knowledge of public health practices and protocols.
    • Must reside at Okuokoko, Delta State or its environs.

    Medical Laboratory Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Laboratory Technician will assist in the preparation and analysis of specimens, ensuring all laboratory procedures comply with quality and safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect, label, and prepare specimens for testing.
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of samples to maintain integrity.
    • Assist Laboratory Scientists in conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment under supervision.
    • Follow quality assurance protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
    • Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines and infection control measures.
    • Maintain accurate records of tests conducted and results obtained.
    • Assist in preparing reports for review by Laboratory Scientists.
    • Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment after use.
    • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment.

    Requirements

    • Education: Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technician from a recognized institution.
    • License: Must be licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
    • Location: Candidates based in Warri, Delta State, are encouraged to apply.

    Pharmacy Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Pharmacy Technician will assist Pharmacists in dispensing medications, maintaining inventories, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing, labeling, and dispensing prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
    • Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist with receiving and storing medication deliveries.
    • Provide medication instructions to patients, answer questions, and document all medications dispensed.
    • Ensure compliance with health regulations and collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals.

    Requirements

    • Possess a Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
