Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site ICU Nurse role located in Ikeja. The ICU Nurse will provide direct patient care to critically ill and post-surgical patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, ventilator management support under medical direction, and administration of medications and infusions. Responsibilities include performing thorough assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring patient responses to treatment, and promptly reporting changes in condition to the medical team. The nurse will assist with emergency interventions, support procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols. The role also involves educating patients and families about treatments, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and contributing to quality improvement and best practice initiatives within the intensive care unit.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Nursing, including patient assessment, care planning, and evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrated experience or training in Critical Care Nursing, with the ability to care for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients.
• Exposure to or collaboration with Critical Care Medicine and Medicine teams in managing complex and multi-system conditions.
• Background in Emergency Nursing or emergency response within the hospital setting is an advantage.
• Current nursing license/registration in good standing and completion of an accredited nursing program (RN or equivalent).
• Relevant certifications such as BLS and ACLS; additional critical care certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by ICU operations.
