    Chief Executive Officer

    Job Description

    • Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for developing and refining the company’s strategy and implementation of its business plan to meet the company's mission of building a world-class agribusiness brand
    • The CEO’s primary responsibility is to drive the mission of Agbeyewa Farms as a world-class agribusiness development company focused on the Nigerian and African markets
    • Manage the growth and development of Agbeyewa Farms, including managing the onsite and remote staff and advisors, as well as other subsidiary of Agbeyewa Farms Nigeria.
    • Model the company principles and continually reinforce the company culture. Work with the Owners and Board to define and set the vision of the company.
    • Provide enterprise leadership by developing, motivating, and instilling confidence in associates and supporting the in-country operations of Agbeyewa Farms in Ekiti State, Nigeria, and any other location.
    • Define and execute the strategic plan, in line with Agbeyewa Farms-owned enterprises to advance the Company’s Vision.
    • Conduct, identify and validate market needs, product requirements, competitive information, and other knowledge essential for our strategic efforts.
    • Develop annual business plans and market growth plans, manage budgets, review structure, and establish clear management processes and expectations to deliver results.
    • Ensure that the marketing and sales pipeline for all key business categories is managed proactively from target identification, through prospect development and the proposal development process, concluding with effective positioning and presentation to win the business.
    • Ensure that existing business is managed proactively to mitigate risks, identify growth opportunities, and expand margins while identifying acquisition opportunities to further the Vision and Strategy of the Company.
    • Achieve development impacts for local communities in all business activities. Review evidence of impacts and adjust approaches to achieve development targets and impacts.
    • Preserve, champion, and leverage the Agbeyewa Farms brand to further the Company’s market position as a leader of quality fresh produce, cassava and starch products, cocoa, cashew, and other related products.
    • ·         Direct Company budget process and business plans and present strategic progress and results to the Owners and the Board of Directors. Review the results of operations and objectives quarterly with the Board of Directors.
    • Own the Company’s finance and operations activities to ensure consistence and excellence across board.
    • ·         Identify and pursue investment opportunities that complement company strategic plans. Work with consultants to mobilize finance from international development finance agencies to gain finance for company projects. Seek partnerships with strategic partners, equity funds, and International Finance Institutions.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration or any other management related discipline. Master’s in business administration (MBA) is mandatory.
    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience managing business operations and administration. Experience in multinational agribusiness and agricultural commodity trading will be an added advantage irrespective of Nationality.
    • Experience in project development, strategic planning and execution, project finance, including the ability to develop financial plans, interpret financial data, and good understand of general accounting procedures.
    • Experience in and knowledge of operations and implementation of business and development activities in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
    • Industry knowledge especially in produce such as: cassava, yam, rice, cocoa, oil palm, cashew, animal feed, poultry, aquaculture, and related agricultural value chains is required.
    • Knowledge of leadership, communication, and public relations techniques to interact with a variety of people.
    • Proven experience in developing long-term relationships with partnering organizations with strong communication skills including written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to motivate teams and associates towards successful goal accomplishment.
    • Proven ability to manage several projects at one time.

    General Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the overall business activity and promote the sales of all farm produce and product.
    • Analyze existing operations and processes and recommending improvements as appropriate
    • Prepare plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations.
    • Visit the different divisions to inspect  and ensure staffs follow the required standards and regulations.
    • Manage the supply of raw materials to include agrochemicals, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked based on request at every point in time.
    • Ensure maintenance schedules are followed by all technicians and staff of the farm for all machines, tools, and equipment.
    • Manage staff compliance and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
    • Support all recruitment efforts to ensure the best hands are on every job function as related to the farm activities.
    • Recommend and facilitate training for farm staff as required.
    • Work with relevant authorities to ensure compliance and relevant certifications are awarded to facilitate the best standard of operations.
    • Collaborating with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports.
    • Build professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science.
    •  Scan through the farm environment to ensure the Farm Corporate Social Responsibilities are carried out and follow the needs of the immediate environment.
    • Develop various Infrastructures and champion land acquisition for the growth and expansion of the farm.
    • Business Development strategies, markets, and product innovation and various ways and methods to maximize profit for the farm while ensuring sustainability.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or any other related discipline.
    • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a large-scale business. Experience in agribusiness is a plus.
    •  Extensive experience in farm management or other agricultural practices.
    •  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
    •  Extensive knowledge of environmental biodiversity.
    •  Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
    •  Ability to make brilliant decisions and manage multiple teams.

    Head of Engineering

    Job Description

    • Lead diagnosing of mechanical problems with tractors, farm machinery, or other equipment to determine the appropriate repairs or replacements needed
    • Maintaining a fleet of farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and other vehicles used for farming purposes.
    • Design structures, equipment, processes and provide timely report to management.
    • Work in areas such as power systems and machinery design, structural and environmental engineering.
    • Design farmhouses, barns, and other shelters.
    • Implement technological changes using competitive and market intelligence
    • Providing technical emergency aids
    • Estimate cost, reliability, and ensure safety of equipment
    • Test products thoroughly for safety issues and defects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
    • 8-10 years minimum previous experience as a lead Engineer or in a similar role in the agricultural sector with experience in Tractor and Farm Fleet maintenance
    • A high level of knowledge pertaining to the installation, use, and repair of agricultural equipment

    Land & Quantity Survey Specialist

    Job Description

    • Carrying out a survey of the environment and providing coordinates of all structural elements and alignment of same.
    • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
    • Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys.
    • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects.
    • Conducting standard calculations to identify areas, elevation, and volumes of field survey notes.
    • Research and design methods for survey processes.
    • Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local surveying laws; rules, regulations, and county ordinances; and policies, procedures, and best practices relative to land surveying.
    • Supervise and provide guidance to field staff.
    •  Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor's degree in surveying, engineering, or a similar field.
    •  5-7 years minimum previous experience as a surveyor or in a similar role.
    •  Working knowledge of GPS and GIS.
    •  Thorough understanding and ability to apply methods and standards of technical report  writing and computer-assisted surveying applications.
    •  Aptitude in math and problem-solving.

    Head of Security

    Description

    • We are looking out to hire a dynamic and well experienced Head of Security to manage and lead security operations management, protocols, communications, and strategy of the company.
    • In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic security program for our farm and managing the security of our assets in all ramifications whilst providing timely situation report to management as deemed fit.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Keep an updated planning of all Security activities, including trainings, patrols and staff hires to keep the Security Department optimally dimensioned with the farm operations.
    • Devise policies and procedures regarding areas such as loss prevention, fraud prevention and privacy.
    • Reviewing existing security measures and updating protocols as deemed fit.
    • Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the farm including daily security operations, identify potential security risks to suggest room for improvements.
    • Fostering a culture of physical security awareness by conducting training sessions and communicating with personnel.
    • Managing, evaluating, and resolving any physical security incidents or breaches within the shortest possible time.
    • Ensuring that the company's security policies comply with local laws and legislations and presenting risk assessments, improved security policies and budget for security programs to management team members.
    • Support the achievement of farm operational targets with a strict minimum number of security incidents and breaches.
    • Organize and supervise the teams of Security Guards, with the assistance of his Security Supervisors, to always ensure a peaceful operation.
    • Keeps a constant working relationship with local law enforcement agencies (Police, Mobile Police, Army, DSS, Civil Defense) to get their full support if the need arises.

    Qualifications
    Relevant Experience:

    • Retired Military / Para Military personnel with a B.Sc or HND.
    • Good knowledge and experience (min 5 years) as security operations manager
    • Previous experience in a large scale farm projects and knowledge of local language is an added advantage
    • Excellent knowledge of state and federal information security laws.
    • Proven proficiency in developing physical security protocols and procedures.
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional managerial prowess and the ability to lead a team.
    • A good understanding of safety procedures.
    • Basic IT skills
    • Analytical Skills – Should be able to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and determine the best course of action to for optimum safety.
    • Very strong team leadership skills, and utmost sense of integrity and human respect.
