Job Summary
The Blending Process Operator will be responsible for accurately preparing, measuring, and mixing raw materials and ingredients according to established formulations. The role ensures the production of consistent, high-quality blends while maintaining efficiency, hygiene, and adherence to food safety and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to approved batch sheets.
- Operate and monitor blending and mixing machines to ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain correct ratios, blending speeds, and mixing durations per product specifications.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure consistency in texture, color, pH, and viscosity.
- Record production data, batch numbers, and material usage accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring proper sanitation of all equipment.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve any process or equipment issues promptly.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and HSE standards at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade Test I, II, III/OND/HND in Food Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Blending, Mixing, or Process Operator in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of production processes, quality control, and food safety systems.
- Ability to interpret batch sheets and follow standard operating procedures accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and awareness of production equipment operations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel for record-keeping and reporting.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Sagamu — proximity is essential.
