    Business Development Manager (Solar)

    ACO Nigeria is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives within the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across solar and energy storage solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive revenue growth by securing contracts and purchase orders to achieve sales targets.
    • Expand ACO Nigeria\'s dealer and distributor network to increase market penetration.
    • Identify, develop, and manage qualified solar and energy storage opportunities.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of commercially viable projects.
    • Identify suitable sites for REA, DARES, and Disco generation opportunities.
    • Develop relationships with local and international financiers and support project financing initiatives.
    • Engage with key stakeholders including REA, Discos, government agencies, NGOs, and development partners.
    • Build strategic relationships with EPC contractors, solar developers, and retail dealers.
    • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
    • Prepare business development reports, market intelligence updates, and sales pipeline reports.
    • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within the CRM system.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
    • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years\' sales experience, with at least 5 years in the solar or renewable energy industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing large-scale contracts.
    • Strong network within the renewable energy sector.
    • Experience working with REA, Discos, EPC contractors, financiers, NGOs, and development agencies.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop strategic partnerships.
